I love having TLC as my go-to dentist. The entire staff is so friendly and very understanding. Whenever I’m in a jam, I feel comfortable to let them know. They understand and they respond with solutions. They make you feel secure and are very the kind of people I trust with any of my teeth problems !! Today I had Dr. Schrode who was incredibly sweet and gentle with my mouth, as well as Monica and Mayra, and who had reassured me with any of my concerns or worries. They provide movies and music that appeal to teens and children, which is very entertaining.

We came to Dr. Schrodi after my son had been treated for several years by another orthodontist in Northridge. After spending a significant amount of money there, we were told my son’s only option would be major jaw surgery. As parents, that was devastating to hear. Thankfully, our dentist highly recommended Dr. Schrodi, and from the very first visit we could tell we were in the right hands. The staff is incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional. They are upfront and fair with financial matters, never giving us issues or surprises, and have gone far beyond what they initially promised. After several years under Dr. Schrodi’s care, my son not only avoided the surgery we were told was inevitable but now has an amazing smile that has given him tremendous confidence. I come from a family of dentists and owning a dental lab where I have worked with many dentists in my younger years, and now in my work as an attorney I interact with physicians and dentists every day where a good portion is managing and coordinating my clients’ treatments. I can honestly say that Dr. Schrodi and her team are among the most professional, precise, and genuinely caring offices I have ever come across. Dr. Schrodi is meticulous in her work and treats her patients with the highest level of care and compassion. Every time we come out of her office, my son has the biggest smile on his face and that is priceless. I think their office name really matches their office culture. As an attorney, I rarely write reviews because you are trained to be cautious as comments could be used against you one day, but I have absolutely no hesitation in writing this one because Dr. Schrodi has gone above and beyond for my son and our family. She quite literally spared us from a major, difficult surgery and gave my son a confident smile we will always be grateful for.

Today was my first time here as a new patient. I am extremely disappointed as the wait time was extremely long. 40 minutes after appointment start time in order to recieve my “first time patient paperwork” I completed it within 4 minutes, waited some more before finally getting my x-rays done. 1 hour and 45 min later, I was given an estimate of what i needed.. mind you - I have insurance. $5,340… my insurance covers a portion of that l, leaving my out of pocket expense as $2,312. I read other reviews stating that they had to pay out of pocket.. this is what they meant. I will rate them 2 starts out of 5 because their x-ray technician was professional, kind and apologized for the wait. The main dentist was well educated, kind and well informed but the wait time, front desk staff and hygienist + out of pocket costs were extremely disappointing.

Love TLC , I grew up not having the best experiences at the dentist so when I searched for one for my child I had high expectations. My daughter has been going to the Chatsworth office for 3 years now and it has been a great experience. They are all so gentle and sweet to my daughter and I. Love the way they treat my daughter and how they explain things to her so she is aware of what is going to happen. They cater to the whole child.

Disorganized office with expensive prices that fluctuate depending on the patient. First this office feels like a mad house, there's too many staff members walking around (feels like different offices housed in one location). They (dentist) are very pushy on expensive treatment plans. We are patients at Blooming Smiles in Northridge and will return there. We were shopping around for Invisalign. This office is dishonest and inconsistent.

I had one of the most frustrating experiences at this dental office. I was left waiting in the chair for nearly 2 hours after my appointment had already started — and this was just for a basic cleaning. I also paid out-of-pocket for extra services, expecting better care, but was extremely disappointed. The medical assistant applied the fluoride without gloves, which is unacceptable in any medical setting. They rushed through the process, got more fluoride on my lips than on my teeth, and did it carelessly, clearly just trying to get me out the door. There was no attention to hygiene or professionalism, and I left feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. I will not be returning, and I don't recommend this place to anyone who values their time or proper care.

They are the best! They always do a great job on my teeth, and today when I brought my kids in they took amazing care of them too. I called for an emergency appointment for my child Monday morning. Paola answered the phone and was able to fit my child in the same morning! She is just so sweet and kind providing excellent customer service. We were able to see Dr. Su, he moved things around to take the emergency appointment. He is super talented and really cares about his patients he made sure we understood what was going on with my child's issue. He has great communication skills and is very personable. He also went and got Dr. Lena to help us, since my child's issue involved adult teeth (and he is closer to adult age). She is also very thorough, very kind and cares. This is a wonderful dental place, we left feeling like we got not only the best care, but with talented people who really care about their patients. Thank you!

Extremely Disappointed with Unprofessional Handling and Lack of Communication I brought my 4-year-old daughter to TCL Smile for dental treatment on February 28, 2025. She had several cavities, including one tooth that was half broken with a deep cavity. Due to her fear she wouldn’t even open her mouth for X-ray scan. Then the dentist recommended us to try their IV anesthesia treatment. After they put her into sleep they will complete all treatments in one session. I was told the anesthesiologist only visits once a month, and the earliest available date was April 7. I paid a deposit and clearly communicated that we would be traveling to Asia in May for three months, so timely treatment was critical. On April 4, the anesthesiologist, Dr. Huang (or Dr. Hung) called me for my daughter’s pre treatment medical history and health check . At the time, she had a mild runny nose. Dr. Huang insisted that any virus symptoms made IV sedation too risky for a young child, and he refused to proceed. While I respected his professional judgment, I also explained that delaying the procedure could lead to pain and infection—but he still canceled. On April 5, I called the clinic to confirm what Dr. Huang said. They agree what the anesthesiologist explained to me and acknowledged the cancellation but offered no alternatives. I called again on April 7 (the original appointment day) wants to still be appointment, hoping to at least get a fluoride treatment or basic cleaning for my daughter to help her teeth getting worse, but they said the schedule was full and promised a callback to arrange the next steps, said they will have the doctor call me to reschedule and discuss other treatment option. I never received a single follow-up call. On May 6, I called the office to request a refund of the deposit. I was told by the phone they cannot refund me because the cancellation was made by us, the dentist and the anesthesiologist wanted to treat my daughter that day, it was because of we backed up with the treatment. I was shocked with this explanation and told them this whole story, she said she will let the manager call me. I later visited the office in person. I was told the manager is in a meeting and would contact me—but again, no one ever did. The front desk had five staff members, and not a single person could give me a clear answer or explanation. Their attitude was completely different from the day I paid the deposit. TCL Smile’s lack of communication, accountability, and customer service is deeply disappointing—especially when dealing with young children and anxious parents. I do not recommend this clinic to any family looking for reliable, professional pediatric dental care.

"I really wish I could give them a zero, but unfortunately, that's not an option. I don't want to bore you with all the details, but please be cautious and stay aware. They rushed me into a procedure that cost me $3K out of pocket, and two months later, they billed me another $1K, claiming my insurance denied the charges, which was a complete lie. I contacted my insurance company, and they told me I was capped, but if I had waited just two more months, my funds would have reset, and I would have had enough coverage for the procedure. When I asked the clipbboard lady if she had requested a pre-authorization quote from my insurance, she repeatedly said yes, but that was another lie. They didn’t care and almost ruined my credit, which I've worked so hard to maintain. Despite my many attempts to reach someone and file a complaint, I got nowhere. It wasn’t until I sought legal advice that they finally contacted me, but even then, they didn’t care. It’s shameful how they operate. On top of that, the dentist did a poor job on my tooth, and it's been causing me a lot of pain. I’ll never go back, but I ended up paying for it just to protect my credit. Please, be very careful."

I really did not want to write a negative review. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in this office. I initially chose to complete my Invisalign here because of their advertisement of teeth whitening and TLC sold themselves to be a "Diamond provider." They charged almost $5000 (even after I had transferred from another state and didn't have much work left to do)-ok FINE charge me the full amount. Then shouldn't be a decent level of care? It seems like Invisalign here is a quick money maker for them. If that is so, there should be a level of attention and basic patient care. I met with Dr Schrodi in the initial sign on, and she was sweet and so I thought this would be the level of professionalism moving forward. However, due to her working very limited days (only 2x a week) I was left in the hands of another ortho. Then without any notice I was then left with another ortho. No communication, no followup. A lot of high turnover among the staff. Worst of all, I left each appointment very anxious and unsure about my progress. Both orthos seemed to be too busy for me and seemed in a rush spending 1-2min during the appointment. Then pass me off to the technician. No explanation, no update of what I need to do moving forward. It was like I was a waste of time to them and they had better things to do. I had been to dentists/orthos before and I have never seen such disorganization and poor quality. It's like a factory and I recommend to go to an actual orthodontist-not a dental office who offers multiple services like child dentistry etc. I was told Im ready for my retainer but that I can continue treatment if "I'm not happy with my smile" I get that but the way it was communicated to me from a professional left me very unsure and uneasy. I was also told that I can keep my current liners off during the day if it bothers me even if my teeth may move. Why would I do that, if my teeth may move? how does that make sense? I had to tell the tech(who changes EVERY APPOINTMENT) multiple times to please help me with the suction to prevent me from choking from saliva buildup while taking off my buttons. There goes another 5k out the door! I heard from another patient that they sweet talk you in the beginning to get you to sign. And its true. I can't say anything negative about Dr. Schrodi because I only met her ONCE and maybe she would have been much better than the other orthodontists. However, I was unable to see her because of the limited schedule and seems hands off managing the offices. Now shes out until March..This office needs improvement especially if you are offering Invisalign. They are nice to your face and I really wanted to like them and let things pass but this is UNACCEPTABLE especially when you are charging so much. Feels like a scam. If the roles were reversed, and you were sitting in that dental chair and saved up to pay several grand I'm sure you wouldn't want to be treated like just a number. Your ortho patients deserve better. **Another off putting thing that took me off guard was when the orthodontist said (I don't want to misquote him) it's an "Asian thing" when referring to my overbite and shape of my front teeth. That there's not much I can do there. I referred back to my husband who is a physician and he said that's inappropriate and could indicate a lack of thoroughness or professionalism. An orthodontist should focus on specific needs rather than relying on broad assumptions like ethnic background.

After being a patient in this facility for years, I had to leave there and never go back again. It used to be great when Bright Now Dental was there and it started to go down after partnering with TLC for smiles! I had a cleaning appointment at 9:30 today and I got there 2 minutes late, after taking me in for my X-rays, They told me the doctor will come to discuss the results. After about 30 minutes, he came and figured that I needed some fillings as well and that they can do them all same day same time so I was like ok. After numbing one side which happened after 20 minutes, he said he will be back soon to start the job. After 20 minutes I got up and complained that why I have to wait so long for just doing nothing and that nobody told me that I have to be here for hours! He finally came back and I said if they told me it was going to take this long, I wouldn't accept that, and that is when he got offended! He told me we had to do the other side at another time and I asked him in this case you do them both the next time and just do cleaning so I can leave. And surprisingly he said he can't do it now and it has to be done by hygienist! I was like my appointment was for cleaning and you don't do it, they said doctor usually does that but he doesn't want to do now. That is the worst customer service and I ended up leaving after one and a half hours with nothing done! I told the front desk that instead of adding up patients, why don't you add up the quality And of course no response?! Just wanted to share this here since they are taking advantage of patients loyalty!

I came in for my first exam at this office, i had a good overall experience, the front staff was very welcoming and greeting me with a smile. I waiting about 10 minutes to be called in, Dr. Yoni was very thorough on explaining my treatment and answered all my questions with detail. A lady who came in who talks about financials was very knowledgeable and she explained all the financials options with good detail which was very helpful. I will definitely be returning to this office with my children.

Very nonchalant. Idk it was because I’m a man or non Hispanic but they could careless about how they treat me.

I took my daughter here as she needed some dental work. I was told that all the work would cost $12,000 and that they might be able to work with me. They just gave me a list of things that needed to be done without any explanation from the dentist or anyone. It was just someone telling me rapidly that "this, this, this, and this needs to be done. It will be 12k. please let us know if you want to come in next week and get it started." When I asked to speak with someone they said they would call me later that week but I never heard from them. 3 weeks later I got a call asking me why I had not brought my daughter back and they wanted to start the work. I mentioned that someone was supposed to call me to discuss how I could pay the 12k since I did not just have that amount on hand if there was a payment plan and if I could pay little by little. The person said, "Oh okay so you are not coming in?" I said I was not if I had to pay all that money upfront since I could not right now. They said okay and hung up. I know others who have had great experiences here but mine was not great. Maybe they only treat you well when you have enough money to pay them right on the spot. We found a different dentist who was willing to help us and took the time to explain what was going on, not just hand you a bill and say pay me or leave.

I have a lot to say about this horrible dental office . DO NOT GO HERE, PUT YOUR LOVED ONES OR YOURSELF IN BETTER HANDS. THIS CLINIC is good at committing FRAUD AND ALSO DOUBLE CHARGES YOU AND THE INSURANCE… I was informed of this through another dentist I currently take my daughter to after the very horrible bad experience with them..?You want your siblings or yourself in good hands don’t go here. 1… let me start by saying that when my daughters appointment was set up I was never informed it would be at this location and not the one on Chatsworth so I was assuming it was at the one in Chatsworth until later that I called after I received a text reminder. 2..Prior to my daughters appointment All of her insurance info was collected supposedly by them, So I was told she’s covered and everything was good and I clearly asked again, I don’t owe anything or will owe anything they stated no she’s all covered…I said ok. I also mentioned why was I not informed of the location being different & not the Chatsworth Dental, they stated I don’t know why.. I said to myself the lack of communication is not acceptable, specially trusting to put your love, my Daughter in their hands, this is where I started to feel iffy, odd to take her or not after knowing this. 3.. I took her to the appointment I ended up getting charged, not everything was covered, but only a percentage. I stated the person whom took all the information said, she’s covered and that was it, Jenny receptionist stated no, I asked where is the guy that took the information, she’s stated he’s not here, he got fired, that seemed odd I couldn’t speak to him!! So that was another RED FLAG…So, I was like what, all this doesn’t make sense. So I was like ok, I was ready to pay, but I was furious of all this, so after a bit Jenny decide to wave my fee of the visit, for one time she said. I stated I was not prepared for any of this. and they didn’t take cash!!! None of this I was not informed ? since they had said insurance is good, no worries. 4… When the check up was done, Jenny came back with the prices, It was a lot she left the room, came back after saying I only will be paying the fluoride, the cleaning. So I was like ok I can do that, 5..After my daughters cleaning and fluoride applied which was done literally in like only 20 minutes only, it should have tsjen longer by the way, I was given the bill. There is a DEDUCTIBLE I had to pay along with the rest. I was not happy at all of all this miss information from the beginning. So I canceled the next appointment within a day or two for her big treatment her crown and requested my refund of the deductible because I came across another dental office owner that used to be with Brighton Dental, I was I informed this place is known to (FRAUD) patients for their $$$ and their insurance as if you got treatment done but you never (DID) I asked for my refund, They said it takes 30 days I said ok. So, 30 days passed I have reached out to them week after week and all they said it’s been submitted, etc. 30 days it would take for my refund.they said I was not charged for the visit etc is their storyI stated that’s not my problem or has anything to do with my deductible, plus you waved this fees, aside of that the treatment was never performed on my Daughter & that deductible is owed back. This is their excuse now to keep my money which is a (FRAUD) after doing my research for another dentist this clinic is horrible in every way. They have charged patients without no treatments done!!! My deductible is owed. Yesterday I hear different story, I wasn’t charged the visit, so it’s being questioned ??♀️ woww. I will report this clinic to Better Business BUREAU. I will get refunded back is all I know!!! Once I do I’ll probably change my review. Again don’t trust this clinic I was informed of their (FRAUD) ways they scam by an actual dentist I currently take my daughter to and used to work at this horrible clinic which is why they owned their own dental office due to their lack of services, communication (FRAUD)

We've been going to TLC for Smiles since our son, who is now 5, was 2 years old, and now our 2 year old daughter is going there as well. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. As a parent, it can be nerve wracking to take your children to the dentist because you never know how they will react and if they will cooperate, but we've never had any issues at TLC and our kids are completely comfortable with the doctors and the staff. Everyone takes their time and they are all great with kids. We always recommend them to family and friends.

Got turned down with "oh we're not telling any prices over the phone" - "so, if your crowns are, say, 4000 bucks a piece, I need to spend time going to your place first, pay for appointment, and THEN know that the price is insane - after spending a ton of my time?" - "yes" :))) That speaks volumes about how they value people's time. I called another children's dentist, got a really rough ballpark (with "the exact price TBD during the visit"), scheduled the appointment. No problems, no secret agency games with the customers :)

I have tried to get a hold of a scheduler to book an annual teeth cleaning with no success. I’ve called during business hours over a span of 2 weeks, and have left 3 voicemails. I also submitted a request via their website. Even if they were understaffed, it simply should not take that long to respond. EDIT: After writing this review, I got a call back 24 hours later. Coincidence? For the two times I have had my teeth cleaned, I felt like my basic expectations were met and the dental hygienist was gentle. However, they tried to have me sign a waiver regarding a costly and invasive deep gum cleaning. When I questioned them, considering I have zero gum issues and have never had a cavity, they said they confused my chart with someone else! I’m really hoping that’s true and they weren’t trying to push a wildly unnecessary procedure, simple to make money off of unaware people? Also, the dentist refused to clean my teeth without the painful scaling machine when I requested he use the manual tools. I had to get up and leave the entire appointment because they had no dental hygienist in the office that day.

I’ve had a horrible experience here. To start, management needs to do a way better job hiring front desk staff. They’re rude and also never answer the phones. And when they rarely do, they’re helpless. The dentist himself Dr. Ara I believe, he’s sweet and nice but everyone from the assistant to the dentist failed to tell me that if I got Invisalign, it basically would NOT work past a certain point. My wisdom teeth are coming in and every time my teeth positively shift, the wisdoms push them right back and to the point that I would have to wear my previous aligners. So I basically paid thousands of dollars to have my teeth look the same. And if it wasn’t through a third party, I would’ve stopped payment months ago. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else for all your dental needs. I rather have payed a little more and actually got my teeth fixed. And it’s sad because they won’t even acknowledge it.

My son has been seeing Dr. Schrodi since 2004. My daughter since birth (practically). The group of dentists and staff Dr. Schrodi surrounds herself with has always gone above and beyond. When my son and daughter needed oral surgery, the surgeon came to the office. No need to drive to another location. When my son was scared of the first time, he needed oral surgery and needed a little TLC, her staff was comforting and supportive of accommodating to his anxiety. This office is definitely an extension of our family. No need to see anyone else when it comes to children dentistry, orthodontists, and surgeons. It's all under one (two, with her second location) roof.

Update: they ended up calling me at a later date and asked why I hadn’t scheduled a follow up. Because this place is a scam! Very bad experience. I ended up going somewhere else for a second opinion because I was told I needed all these crowns and a root canal. The x rays I got taken here were $110 and were difficult to read. I had to get new x rays taken at my new dentist. I could immediately see that my new x rays were clearer. You could see a lot more of the details in my teeth. My new dentist tells me I need fillings and maybe a root canal. This place just wants your money. They don’t take the time to explain to you each treatment option. I felt really pressured to pay and settle on the treatment they gave me.

READ IT ALL—Not happy with the service at this clinic. Might be a great clinic for kids, but not for adults, especially if youve suffered trauma from dentistry since they put 4/5 patients in the same crowded room separated by shower curtains. Its very uncomfortable to walk into the room with so many people inside, clients, children, parents and about 10 dental assistants in the same room. It’s uncomfortable to go to the restroom since you have to walk past other people’s treatment beds and uncomfortable to share your process and symptoms or complaints since there are other patients less than a foot away who can hear everything and are nervous about their own plans. Just uncomfortable all around. But that’s wasn’t my main concern… I came in to the clinic and explained my story to the main doctor in the clinic. She created an invisalign plan for me and then i never saw her again for her professional opinion. I tried to call twice so she would see me and they blew me off. I saw two different doctors who went into my treatment plans who had no idea about my story in the past and would literally tell me things that contradicted the main doctors first comments. Especially the female doctor that attended me, she just couldn’t wait to get rid of me and didn’t listen at all to my needs. She was just pushing her opinion through to me. She looked unprofessional and unprepared to handle my case, but i went with it, because I had already paid for the plan. After I finished my initial 26 trays, I went in and they told me my bite was off and that I needed 16 more trays. Already unsure to continue under her advice and not the main doctor’s, I decided to trust the process. The worst part came when i visited the office for the last time. She made an apt for me at tray 11, she finished me and told me my bone structure didnt allow for more improvement. I knew my treatment wasn’t done or looking the best it could. Could feel my bite was off and with my tongue feel the teeth were not right. So i told her: i think i will need more trays. She answered me by saying I had functional bite and that was good enough and that to achieve the results I wanted (which were visibly doable even to me) I had to get a COMPLICATED JAW SURGERY THAT I SURELY DIDN’T WANT. She got up and left me there for an assistant to come quickly, take my cements off and rush me to sign a bunch of papers releasing any rights to more treatment etc… i got up and left the clinic without even hearing the word: congratulations! After spending over a year doing a treatment that costs close to $5K. Days later and not happy with the way my bite and mouth felt I decided to visit another doctor in a much less crowded clinic. Told her my story and she proceeded to take xrays of my mouth and a full skull scan that showed me my teeth from the outside and inside of my mouth and were all my bones were. After that she scanned me for invisalign and proved that I WAS RIGHT when i complained at TLC for smiles. My treatment result was far from the best result possible by just scanning with the same invisalign machine they use at TLC you could see it! I have pictures and proof! Of the new before (a whole year after invisalign at TLC for smiles) and after (watching my new scan at another clinic) and seeing the possibility of the results I had expected from the very beginning coming together I knew right then this clinic just wants you out of the door as quickly as possible and doesn’t care to fulfill the goal of the plan, but just whatever is “functional” My new dentist was incredibly upset by seeing a clinic not doing their job properly, even her assistant said: they said he needed jaw surgery? OMG that is insane his bone structure is perfect! What a disgrace! But they sure are good at sending you hundreds of reminder messages for future appointments. I have transferred my plan and now about to start another 6/7 months of treatment to correct the mistakes and poor work ethic of this doctor! Thank you not! My heart goes out to healthcare workers who I know must be dealing with so much burnout and who yet continue to show up to work each day. As much as I can understand this, it it still very upsetting to receive such poor customer service and to have my time and money wasted. There are some who work here who have shown wonderful customer service and to them, I am grateful. However, unfortunately, that cannot be said of all. I was told it would take a month to process my refund of an item they provided me with that was completely unusable. Very disappointed with the service and with the treatment by some who just couldn't care less about the situation.

I got a check up with them and paid $59.99. They said I needed a root canal so they set an appointment a week later at 9:30 am when their specialist was at the location in Granada Hills. I had no problem with waiting the staff was lovely though they change their staff everyday since they are short staffed they always have to have other assistants travel from other branches. The main issue is when i arrive on the date of my appointment 10 minutes early, they let me know that the Root canal specialist will not be able to see until about 2-3 hours because he was actually doing a root canal on a patient when I arrive. This is extremely poor operations for a dental office and have no respect or courtesy of their patiences' time. I am extremely disappointed in their services and I would not recommend scheduling anything with this location. I am switching to another dentist that is more transparent about their scheduling.

This place is awful and a huge scam. My wife had to reschedule due to her being pregnant. She got the doctors note that they requested. After she was there for 45 minutes they said she couldn't get her teeth cleaned unless she paid an extra fee for "a Special service". My Sister is a dental hygienist and said that is a scam. They shouldn't be able to treat people this way. I'm not forced to pay for premium at a gas station and we should be able to choose at a dentist office. I would run far away from this place.

Alma was great and the doctor was polite and thorough, but I was very disappointed to find out that the cleaning that I wasn't able to get done during covid, had to be scheduled on another day because the hygienist wasn't in that day. I was off of work and had the opportunity to make this appointment only to find out that I needed to take off even more time even though I was already there. Very inconvenient and wish reception would have told me that I couldn't get at cleaning on the same day as my x-rays and checkup when I was making the appointment. Now I have to wait for 2+ weeks for a cleaning. Frustrating.

Gave 2 stars for the front desk! PROBLEM: good staff keeps being rotated with bad and not caring staff Dentist/ teeth cleaning tech, they masacre my mouse to get the job done fast, Then they blame me for having bleeding gums. Every time that I go back and schedule an appointment with a specific person they have either gone somewhere else or they are not there and I get stuck with whoever they have that day. SOLUTION: advise the client that the same techs/dentist is not going to be there, that will be helpful for the patient to make a decision to go there or not. Treat the patient as a paying customer not just another means of getting paid. "On the disclaimer for leaving a review it said that you will make it right". I would like a full refund.

Dr. Schrodi and Dr. Jafari are amazing! I knew so little about Invisalign’s when I got here and at my consultation Dr. Jafari explained the whole process to me and even showed me what my teeth would look like by the end. The front desk staff are always so nice which is such a relief because I always have so many questions! They explained my whole payment plan to me and when I call about changing my card on file or making an urgent appt they’re always always ready to help! Dr. Schrodi has checked in with me at all my appts and says hello and when I was having trouble with my rubber bands (I have a low pain tolerance) she immediately let me come in and get bands that were more loose and make sure I was comfortable in them! They’re 100/10! And the website is super helpful!

They're extremely patient with my kids who cry and cry like as if they're being tortured. Pre-covid there was a fun play waiting room for my toddler to roam in. Post covid they accommodate our family so that I can bring all the kids together and we're in a back room by ourselves.

We have been going to this office for 9 years now. We lasted this long because the staff and doctors try very hard to be on your best side. However, several damaging mistakes were made by the doctors while they were caring for my children. Services were recommended just for the office to make more money and not necessary needed as an immediate treatment for my children. I have realized how much more money was spent in this office over the years just because they implemented such a business driven and not care driven mentality, when recommending treatment plans. It almost felt like you are buying a car at the dealership. They have more sales representatives than doctors in the office on any given day. What made me seek second opinion and what eventually opened up my eyes on all the overcharging that TLC Smiles was doing was a mistake that a dentist did ( I am not going to name names for compasión purposes to this particular doctor) while providing a treatment to my young daughter. At the end of the procedure my daughter had a panic like fear driven episode that I believe was triggered by oral sedation that the office used on her for this procedure. This instilled fear made my child very reluctant towards any dental work. Because of this fear now we are facing putting her to sleep for even minor dental work and that is all extra Anastasia damage. I tried several times to contact someone at the office to discuss the issue however they did not care enough to even acknowledge our concerns. We were conveniently and politely disregarded. My last straw was when they presented me with a 3,000 thousand dollar treatment plan to sign and I finally stated questioning the integrity of this office. When I took my child for evaluation at the different office I then understood that they wanted to overcharge me by almost 2,000 dollars . I was shocked and saw it as shameful and criminal. I despise that I trusted them and thought that they were honest for 9 years. I feel we were taken advantage under a pretense of honesty that you assume doctors learn at school to possess . What a shame that behind all those smiles lots of greedy and morally corrupt doctors reside. I guess even highest level of education does not guarantee high standard of morals. Sad world we live in.

For example, Dr. Nini Tran is a full time professor at UCLA's School of Dentistry. She trains residents in pediatric dentistry and dental students. I also have been a guest lecturer for both pediatric dentistry and orthodontics at UCLA. Our treatment recommendations are "evidence-based" which means we use our clinical expertise, the latest research and patient/parent values for our recommendations. In fact as at team, the pediatric dentists at TLC for Smiles take time to calibrate our diagnosis and approach.

After several mistakes in my child's printing, they refused to continue with the treatment because I was finished to pay the overall treatment. I almost spent $5000 and they did not want to continue the treatment I was just paid regarding the 2 wrong printings they did. Save your money and a bad experience and go to Smile Direct Club, you will save half of the money.

I've had two bad experiences here from just three appointments and won't be going back! I found the dentist defensive and argumentative when talking and the oral hygienist left me in the middle of a deep cleaning for more than 20 minutes without anyone checking. My mouth and lips were completely numb and I couldn't swallow. As my mouth filled up with saliva, I thought I might choke, so I finally had to pull off the gear and go out to the parking lot to spit the fluid from my mouth. What a horrible experience!

I visited the office for root canal treatment. After they checked my dental insurance plan they said that everything will be covered by the insurance with nothing out of pocket. About 5 months later, I received a bill from them for approximately $1,900. When I called, after leaving a message and 5 attempts to speak with someone, they were not really helpful and said that the insurance rejected the claim...???? I am not a person that will ignore my personal obligations but I was really surprised and decided to call the central office of this chain of clinics for better explanation. I spoke with the regional manager which was forthcoming toward my problem but after checked what happened and explained it to me, we agreed that I will pay a significant, some discounted amount of this bill. In an attempt to pay the bill, I called the office several times (they never answer on first attempt) until I spoke with a girl that was willing to take my payment but for the full amount. Apparently she was not updated about the payment agreement I had and when I told her that, she said she will call me back. when she called back after 30 minutes, I was not available at my phone so she left a message. I immediately tried to call back but, as usual, no one picked up the phone so I tried several time after that in the following days - no success. About 10 days later, I received a call from the center office, asking about the payment.... I paid the total amount over the phone on the spot.... The next thing, I begin to receive phone called from a collection agency asking me to pay this same bill... ?????????? WHAT????? WHY????

Updated review (Good review was from 2 years ago when I didn't have actual dental insurance): Here's a bit of advice: To any new or existing patients: If you are a parent of a child w/no special needs, have amazing insurance and/or have money to keep paying all the costs... this is the perfect dental office for you because the dentist & staff in the back are great! But to all the opposite parents & ones that have a brain that questions everything and don't go into to things blindly: find a different dentist. Don't come here! You don't have to take my word for it. But it's a warning.

The staff were perfectly nice, I was given a $12,000 and $20,000 quote and was promptly shown the door when I broke down. I first extensively explained my ciscumstances before coming in. They were nice enough to waive the exam fee since they without saying the words they were refusing to help me, refused to help me. Don't come here unless you have cash to pay up front. They'll be nice to you as they show you the door cause at the end of the day, dental health isn't a right, it's a privilege.

My 6 year-old daughter started her journey with orthodontics not long ago. We heard from pediatric dentists that her jaws are EXTREMELY crowded; some of them said she is a great candidate for an expander and recommended seeing an orthodontist. I began to look for local orthodontists in the Valley, and saw several before I scheduled an appointment with TLC for Smiles, finding them through google.com. Their great reviews made me feel good right away. When I went to see Dr. Jane Schrodi, I was beyond impressed with her amazing personality. She is very knowledgeable; in fact she is a pediatric dentist and orthodontist, and explained to me how Clara’s crowded teeth also cause breathing difficulties, which I had already noticed Clara experiencing at night. Dr. Schrodi is very kind, compassionate and professional in every way. She explained the process to us very well. I didn’t hesitate to tell her how amazing she made me feel, as I felt that she cares for my child like her own. Dr. Schrodi got tears in her eyes, and so did I! I am so excited that Clara will be getting Invisalign braces from Dr. Schrodi, who is one on of the top Invisalign providers in the Valley. I went in to Bright Now Dental in Granada Hills for cavity fillings that I have neglected for a while. When I arrived everything was clean and up to the Covid standards and was greeted promptly. Alma at the front desk was amazing and made my whole experience worthwhile. She along with her other coworkers and the dentist on staff were caring and attentive. I went in for just fillings and left with a next appointment to pick up my Invisalign retainers, something I have been wanting to do for a while and finally did it thanks to this staff. If you are in need of any dental procedures I really recommend visiting this location, I am never a fan of going to the dentist but Alma and the rest of the staff make it enjoyable and safe.

Beyond wonderful experience! I had a very painful procedure done yesterday and didn't feel a thing! The staff are super sweet and they eased all my worries. But the Dentist who did my procedure was the best dentist I've ever had. So sweet and considerate, and super cute! Bonus. This review is long overdue... and WELL DESERVED!! About seven years ago, our family first met Harvard graduate Dr. Schrodi at her Granada Hills office. Our three kids, especially the two little ones, had a lot of anxiety about visits to the dentist and Dr. Schrodi skillfully and with LOTS of tender love and care (TLC) administered complex procedures with wonderful results: (1) At three years old, our little daughter needed her back baby molars crowned. With the help of an anesthesiologist, the crowns were put in place without a snitch or tear. (2) Also at a young age and still with baby teeth, our son had a severe overbite, crooked teeth, and was on medication that caused his gums to swell. All that was corrected over a series of appointments during each of which we could count on Dr. Schrodi’s personal attention, expertise, and supportive team. (3) Our eldest teenage daughter wanted a beautiful smile but had a gap between her two top front teeth. Dr. Schrodi first gave us a referral to a specialist who performed a small surgery. Then she guided our daughter’s teeth into beautiful placement and provided clear retainers so they would stay put. These are just some of the highlights of our relationship with Dr. Schrodi and TLC for Smiles. Over the years we have benefitted from her dental hygiene counsel, special mouth rinses, and visits to our children’s school, besides, of course, regular check-ups and cleanings. The office and clinic are constantly being modernized (I love the ceiling-mounted TV with wireless headphones for the kids—one of her first additions years ago); the administrative and dentistry staff is always alert and very friendly. I could not wish for a better dentist. Thank you Dr. Schrodi, and all your staff, for all you have done and are doing for our family! I give TLC for Smiles my highest recommendation.

I just recently started going to Bright Now! Dental but I already love it. I called in to get an appointment because I had a sensitive tooth and they were able to get me in the next day! The staff is amazing, they're all so sweet and really work with you to get you all the help you need. My only issue was the wait time, even with an appointment but that's understandable considering how much things have changed now with the pandemic, so it wasn't that big of an issue. Overall great customer service and a great experience I will definitely recommend to my family and friends.

This was my 3rd visit to the office after it had been awhile due to the shutdown. My normal hygienist is no longer there but it was so ABSOLUTELY AMAZING to "see" a smiling face behind the mask as she introduced herself as Janet. I told her that due to my nerve issues I could not tolerate the cavitron and she said "no problem, I will take care of the tarter and get you back on track. " When we were all done I asked her when she works and she told me that a decision had not been made about her final hire. I spoke with the office manager and told her that this was the most enjoyable cleaning I can remember having and Janet needs to be hired. If corporate really reads these reviews, please don't let this caring woman go!!

Was first upset because I had been trying to get the 2nd step done for a root canal and already have had some trouble getting scheduled after first visit. They wanted me to go to the los Angeles's location which didnt work for me so when I tried to reschedule they said the dr was only available once a month and could not go in later in the day of my appt. They said call to reschedule some where else( los Angeles's location) so after 3 attempts of trying to get a new appt, I never got a call back. On the fourth attempt... they made an appt quick at Granada hills location. They were great here and helpful despite the fact the dr here again could not stay later. My phone company had problem the previous day soni did not get a voicemail that he would not be available in the afternoon. This was frustrating. After expressing my concern and driving all the way here from work. I told them that it's an inconvenience when you have a set appt and the dr then becomes unavailable. So after me explaining my inconvenience...both the dr and office was able to work with me and worked on my tooth after explaining that I just wanted to get this taken care of. ...and. I appreciated it and their time. God knows nobody enjoys the dentist and I have been trying more attempts to the dentist then I would like too ever for this darn tooth. Overall location was great but at a company I feel they could have better communication in directing patients. Just want the work done.

Stay away. They charged and did a procedure without explaining what it was and how much it would cost me. I paid out of pocket $500 for something called a bone graft after they performed a wisdom tooth extraction. My insurance covers the extraction which was all I needed. This place is a scam and they make you sign a bunch of arbitration clauses before you go in which award a maximum of $5000 even if you win with their ridiculous rules. Edit: by the way they give a 'discount' if you give them a high google rating. Enough said.

Had the BEST experience with my little. Called early Saturday morning for an emergency appointment. 6 year Molars were giving us a BIG problem. They got my daughter in that day. The dentist Dr. Ash was amazing, he reassured my daughter over and over about everything he was doing and let her know he would stop immediately if anything bothered her. He recommended Coconut oil for her fever blister and a cleaning to help with the molar inflammation. The coconut oil was the best advice!! My little said mom it's like black magic. We put it on her lips and 10 minutes later her pain was significantly less and the blisters were cleaning themselves with the oil. She was able to fall asleep for the first time in 3 days without horrible pain. The front desk staff was fabulous, they showed my daughter each tool and its function for her cleaning as she was a little frightened and in pain. The girl from the front actually did the cleaning for us as my daughter trusted her very much. Greatest experience for us!!

I took my daughter (who is one year and five months old) for the first to the dentist and I was so worried that she would cry and wouldn't let anyone clean her teeth. Everyone in the front office at TLC FOR SMILES is friendly, efficient and very professional. The dentists and assistants are great with children. I’ve been taking my kids here for almost 2 years and have no complaints. One of my kids had to get a procedure done and the dentist was extremely patient and understanding when he wasn’t cooperating. The entire place is very clean. I would highly recommend this dental office.

It was the first time for my oldest daughter (4yrs) and the treatment was amazing. The nurse went above and beyond for my daughter to feel confortable. She explained everything that she was going to do. As for the doctor, same, she was so sweet and kind. Lastly, the staff in the front, super friendly. As a mom I wasn’t sure what to expect but I have to say this place exceeded my expectations.

My wife made an appointment to have a root canal, with a “specialist”, after sitting in pain for 6 days. The day is finally here, and the appointment has been set for 10am. A half hour after we arrive and check in, we are told that the wait time would be 2-3 hours!!! This is just bad business. Overbooking and making patients wait for that long is absolutely ridiculous. I can understand waiting a little bit after the time of the appointment, but 2-3 hours is absurd. We have to go through with this appointment because of the pain my wife is in, but it WILL be the last time we use Bright Now Dental.

Definitely they smile when you go in. I went there few weeks ago to cement my tooth they wouldn't cement it without paying $75 which my insurance cover so I have no choice I had $60 in my pocket well five minutes later I was done. Called my insurance they told me I am covered and bright now agrees to pay me back $50. Till today I haven't recieved my money because corporate they say it takes time. After arguing they just call me they will expedite the payment "hopefully " also they wouldn't give me appointment for teeth cleaning which my insurance cover, they told me before they have to consultation probably so they can charge more for insurance all I want is a simple cleaning which I am entitled

Terrible, terrible service at about every interaction and shady business practices. I am very unhappy with my service from the initial call to schedule an appointment to almost every interaction with someone at this location (except the gentleman that did my X-rays. You were professional). Here’s my experience- I called to schedule a cleaning which the operator told me they would be doing at my first appointment along with X-rays. During my first appointment, they only had time to do my X-rays and it wasn’t until after my X-rays they said that they could try to squeeze me in for a cleaning later the same day. I had already taken a few hours off work and couldn’t wait around. I scheduled a cleaning for the next Saturday. When I arrived Saturday, they told me I was having a gingivitis treatment. I requested a regular cleaning and did not want to sign for the treatment which was never mentioned earlier in any interaction. This treatment was never discussed with me by anyone and all of the sudden I was asked to sign for it prior to getting the one treatment I had been trying to schedule. They refused to provide a cleaning stating they are required to provide this treatment with a deeper cleaning due to the condition of my gums. BS as my fabulous DMD/DDS who does the cleanings himself, would have me return for a normal cleaning. If I do end up needing a deeper clean, I’ll get it but I don’t trust having any treatment that isn’t thoroughly explained or left to front desk personnel to explain. I can’t imagine what procedures they would say are required if you have some serious dental issues. I do probably not floss enough but I have quite good teeth. The gingivitis treatment was never once brought up before or explained to me. I told them I’ll get a second opinion and likely I will either be paying out of pocket for my previous dentist or attempting to see if there are any other options with my new HMO besides this company. Not to mention in the span of these appointments, I probably received 8 texts to confirm or remind me which were quite annoying. When my Saturday appointment for my cleaning finally arrived they even called asking me to come in earlier. The scheduling appears to be a disaster.

If I can rate it zero star, I’ll do that. But it’s fair to give it one star for friendly staffs. Here is my story. I have HMO insurance with this location for two years, 2017 and 2018. I suppose to have regular teeth cleaning covered twice a year but They charged extra $80 because they have to do deep cleaning. That’s just the beginning...last year I had a tiny cavity, they gave me a quote of about $5000!!!! Then said insurance covered $3500, and I only need to pay $1500+. Sounds like a good deal for idiots. That’s ridiculous!!!! I rejected it, then the lady said, that would became a bigger problem and larger bill. I called my insurance and changed my provider to another one. I just got my cavity fixed professionally and perfectly yesterday by my new dentist. Original price $340, insurance covered $260, and I only need to pay $82!!!!!! Cleaning including fluoride treatment are all covered by the same HMO plan!!! That’s why I feel so happy with my new dentist and so much hate on this one! How can they rob people who know little about dentist market that way??? DO NOT come to bright now Granada Hills!!!!!

First time taking my kiddlin to the dentist and the staff was super friendly. I choose this place due to my kid receiving a care package through school... was like a sign from the tooth fairy saying it was time! Eventhough, my kid screamed his head off the staff kept their cool. They found out the reason why my son had speech delay and snoring...now we are going to schedule for surgery..will update with results. Great hidden gem in the city of Granada hills! Oh they also give points so kids get into getting their teeth healthy... My kid received a shirt and teddy bear and he was super excited about that. What I really like was that I was able to chat through their website at night with someone about getting an appt. Thought it was a robochat but it was actually a live person chatting at night! The next day they called me to set it up! They also have a play room full of toys which my kid loved!

It is with great appreciation I am posting this review. I take both of my boys to this clinic. One of my boys is on the low end of Autism spectrum. He is very difficult client in any setting. Because of the great staff and atmosphere we are assisted heavily and as a result have a smooth sailing through the appointment. Both doctors and assistants are extremely patient, helpful and accommodating. Moreover they are excellent diagnosticians and clinicians. They can recognize wheather an issue needs to be addressed, monitored or handled in another way thus avoiding an extra cost or other negative consequences. Having a need to be by my ASD son during treatment the other day, my other son was attended by Khaled. He was very professional and compassionate clinician, making his experience and my experience more comfortable and pleasant. I am very pleased.

Beware !!! If you have an HMO insurance Plan they will overcharge your co pay by changing the name of the service being done. Dentist was rude and lazy. The staff incompetent. Would definitely recommend going elsewhere.

We moved to Granada Hills three years ago but had yet to move our dentist and found TLC for Smiles on Yelp and through recommendations of the local moms Facebook group. We had a great experience for our first visit and quickly realized the bad care we were getting at our previous dentist when several cavities were uncovered that had been there much longer than the visit we just had to the dentist 3 months ago. Unbelievably awesome. Had an emergency issue, having never been to this dental office before, they took me immediately, gave me excellent treatment. Unfortunately for me, I needed something more than they could provide. They immediately referred me to an endodontist, who they arranged to stay late on Friday afternoon/evening to see me, who was also awesome. Very caring, very thorough, very gentle, very very good. Nobody should go here, there very crooksters they tend to help you but no!! They try to steal you just like they did to me, they tend to find a bad root canal and tend to pay more attention to that area the least important vs the most important ones that you have around....Make sure you be upfront with them on everything and don't spend more than your insurance, that's if your not limited with money like I am...

Adult Invisalign!!! NOT only for kids! I was pleasantly surprised, and the results so far are amazing, to the delight of my better-half, who pushed me hard to take care of my crooked teeth. I was skeptical at first about the promised results, but soon enough I noticed that Invisalign is working on adults too. The staff, headed by Dr. Shrodi is very professional, and on top of things. I shudder whenever I have a dental appointment! However, altho’ still somewhat anxious, the staff and Dr. Ibrahim (hope I spelled it correctly) took time with me to make me comfortable, and their patience with this ‘old lady’ was so appreciated. The wait was short, the paperwork was too much for my liking but it’s needed, and follow up appointments are scheduled within a short time. All thumbs up for this office!

I love this office. I'm doing invisalign here. Being extremely dental anxious I have been calm and well taken care of here. Everyone here is so nice, patient, comforting during procedures and they tell you what's going on along the way. My questions are taken and answered w value. When I've had minor mishaps or uncertainty they are happy to see me right away to take care of it. The office is also very clean and the decor w the tropical beachy aquarium theme is well done and creates a fun pleasant environment.

Dental visits don't bother me; the payment aspect is what always gets me. THEN the attitude like it's personal. Not here. Starr was very welcoming and understanding of my dire situation and was able to explain everything clearly, concisely AND in a friendly way! Dr. J was a complete professional in every sense. I felt no pain EVER at ANY part of the procedure, which you know is extremely rare for a root canal. I'm sure Gabriela had a hand in that, as she is a wonderful hygienist with mad skills! They were very thorough in taking x-rays after every stage just to make sure everything was sitting correctly. I can't recommend this Bright Now location enough! And coming from a guy like me, that's saying a lot. To those saying they pitch unnecessary services: what do you really know about your dental health? They caught everything I suspected they would, and gave me the affordable route to do it. And I'm not an undocumented foreign person either. They're just that good.

Came in for teeth cleaning. Had previously discussed replacing some cracked veneers. They were great! Did it all! They were all very nice and kept asking me if I was okay. (It took about 3 1/2 hours). We were the last ones there, but no one complained. Even the office staff were still there, being kind and helpful. The Dr/Dentist was especially gentle, patient, considerate and careful. His assistant Dentist, Grace, was very professional and attentive. I'm excited to go back in a few days and get my new veneers! It was my first time in this dental office. Our appointment was at 11 am and we arrived at 1045 am. They barely started working on my paperwork at around 1130, so I was seen at 1145. ONE HOUR WAIT. So, I go for a regular cleaning and the dentist starts throwing all these procedures to be done to me. (My last cleaning was done 6 months ago at a different dentist) . After he is done, the staff goes and "CHECKS MY INSURANCE " to see my copay and brought a estimate in the amount of $1,200 (photo attached). When I asked that I just wanted a regular clean up, the dentist DECLINED to performed my clean-up. This is a business that treats you like an item (and not a patient) and tries to suck up your insurance and your pocket as much as they can. Do not get fooled by all the recommendations from this dentist.... get a second opinion.

I would recommend Dr. David any day! I finally got a veneer for my front tooth done that I've been needing for years. I essentially need to get an implant for this tooth, but for a temporary fix, I couldn't be happier! I also got my teeth cleaned and my teeth are whiter and feel cleaner than they've been in a while. When I say this is the Worst dental office on the planet I Mean it! I went into the office to caus I was having pain. They told me I had to get a crown and tooth extraction with a bridge. The cost was over 3,000. I got the crowns done that day but had to come back later to get the tooth extracted becaus I was in so much pain and can feel what they were doing. The doctor was telling me to just wait that he was almost done but, I was to the point that tears were coming out of my eyes. We had to stop and They had to refer me to another location to get the extraction and the bridge. After I get the extraction done, I call this location back to see when they had my appointment for the bridge put in. The lady starts by saying that they NEVER spoke to me about a bridge and I didn't pay for the bridge. So I asked her what exactly did I pay for if it wasn't for the bridge and extraction that they told me about and she said I would have to speak to her Maneger.

My experience as of 5-16-2017.. I was told that I was going to see the dentist and the endodontist today. supposedly I saw the endodontist without seeing the dentist which I'm not buying.. I believe I saw the general dentist and because I got upset with him and asked to see the endo since I did not trust his opinion, I was told that the person that I saw was the endodontist... but it really doesn't make sense why this office would have me see their Specialists without their General Dentist first especially when I was told that was supposed to be the protocol for that day.. initially I had an 11:30 a.m. appointment to see the endo and I asked to see the dentist too ,that's why I was given a 9:30 am appointment so obviously I was being lied to.. none the less ,X-rays were taken and this individual ,whether he was the dentist or in fact the Endo, did not want to do anything for me. I'm told this individual had eight years of knowledge ..if that was the case ,then he could have been more professional and considered that one of the reasons why the infection might not of showed up on his clinical x-ray is either because his hygienists didn't take a good angle or because I'm on penicillin for the infection , as was told to me by another couple specialists. Why this individual could not figure that out is beyond me... And after I had told him that he could have asked me to come back within a week instead of discounting me.. He was very dismissive as was his staff... Didn't even want to consider my other x-rays or previous dental opinion... Also was told that I was going to get some medical report by his staff member ,star. I have not received the report of his findings that there was no infection present... I think this office is all about money .my friend heard them talking about them not wanting to do work on me because they didn't think my insurance was going to cover it since I'm a new member of Delta HMO and I may not show in the system and they had to call and try to verify me through rep based on the member ID number that I was given and also they didn't want to take a chance on me because I had a lot of questions regarding how much my insurance company will cover vs what I'm liable for... They tried to talk me into getting more than just a root canal before the appointment if necessary and that I would most likely need medicine put in the tooth for another $300 LOL.... I should have known something was up the day that I was told I was going to get a call back about pricing and I never got a call back.....

So I literally just walked out of this office just now. I was told I before needed deep cleaning which was gonna cost me over $700. I show up today and now they said I needed the antibiotics which was gonna cost the same as the deep cleaning. After waiting a month to get the money together for this since I'm a student, I finally save up the 700 but now I can't afford it because suddenly I needed arrestin. $$$$$ is all they are after. They are already charging top price for their services and they are still trying to suck out more and trying to scare you of what could happen.

Just took our 20 month old son here for the first time. It was his first dental appointment and things were great. Not only did they take time to try and prep our son by letting him play with and inspect some of the equipment but they prepped me as well, explaining that tear will be a part of the process. The Doctor took her time in explaining how to help treat his teeth every day, why it is important to keep his baby teeth clean and simple tricks to making brushing everyday a simple procedure. Every one was nice and friendly, had a great play room with great toys to keep out little man occupied while we waited for our appointment. Great personable service.

Once you are actually seen they are good. They need to get more staff or better juggling of patients. Every time I go there they take forever and there's been times I wasn't seen after they took so long due to me getting restless from sitting so long. Last time I went they asked me if I can come in early only for me to wait for 1hr to be seen, then another 30min for them to tell me I need some services that will take even longer! I ended tell them I will come back. Also one of the nurses did not know my name initially. Which is not good as a patient. Also they have messed up a few times with billing me for things that I was told there was no fee or that I had already paid in the past. If it weren't for Star or Doc Arin I probably won't go there any longer, they seem like the only honest. So if the justime work on professionalism and punctually then they will be great because Dr. Arin his service is good and seems like he really cares about your teeth!

I felt so comfortable and they had a movie screen and, you can watch a movie while you get teeth pulled or any other treatment. When you get a shot in your mouth they do such a good job numbing it, you can't feel it. The staff are so kind. I would highly recommend them. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! I had an injury during a soccer game and fractured the roots of my teeth. after wires to put them back the way they were and attempted root canals I was informed I needed implant buts wanted to finish my braces before I got them. I told my mother to find the orthodontist I had when I was little and thank God she did! Shrodi did the braces for all of my older sisters and mine too but never finished until now! I came in and she got me started right away! She is very nice and great at her job. She has been great working with me and with my surgeon to get my teeth nice and straight before i get my implants. Her staff is amazing and very friendly and they all know who you are when you come in. I strongly recommend Dr. Shrodi! I drive from El Monte and Alhambra area just to have her do my braces! It is a drive and gas but it is worth it !!

First off let me just say if any one out there is looking for a great orthodontist search no further. Just a year ago I was searching for the right orthodontist and most of them either had terrible customer service or were just trying to pry out any amount of money I had. Then I came across TLC for Smiles. Not only was it reasonable distance from where I lived but they worked out a reasonable price that I could afford monthly! I'm twenty years old, I go to college and I pay bills. So, of course monthly payments were a huge plus for me. It has been about a year that I have had my braces and I couldn't be happier with my smile. Also, they have a cute little point system set up for each time you arrive to your appointment. Once you gather enough points you're win prizes like movie tickets, ipods, toys, etc. Also, the staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. Overall, I highly recommend this orthodontist!!

I've been taking my 4 children to the doctors at TLC for Smiles for the past 5 years. The doctors are very caring. My oldest had braces there and now she has a beautiful smile. She liked the doctor so much that she didn't even want her braces to come off! My kids have Medi-Cal but I choose to bring my kids here because the quality of the care is so much better. I have been looking for an Ortho who can cater for my busy daily life. I am so happy my co-worker recommended Dr. Schrodi, she is always there and she is available on weekends. I live 60+ miles away, but with her very nice demeanor and light hands, she made me feel welcome, it was definitely well worth it. The staff are very polite and helpful especially in changing schedules. i would definitely recommend her clinic any day <3

I have nothing but positive things to say about TLC for Smiles. I have five children 10 years and under, Dr Schrodi and her staff are great with all of the kids, even the little ones on those potentially scary first time visits, they take the time to talk to the kids and explain the tools and what they can expect to feel/experience. My oldest has had to have a couple tooth extractions and she has been treated with nothing but gentleness and care. The office is very clean and nicely decorated, there is even a play area for the kids!

From the ladies at the front desk to Dr. Schrodi's assistants - my experience at TLC has always been warm and pleasant. Dr. Schrodi is professional, thorough, warm and kind. My favorite part of my visits are getting to see her work with children, and I am always amazed at how great she is with kids (her and her staff). TLC is an awesome place for both children and adults! If you're a parent and your children don't do very well with dentist visits - trust me when I say that TLC is way to go; if you're an adult and need a trustworthy and an amazing orthodontist- TLC is the way to go!

I have two lil girls that are 12 and 5 and they absolutely LOVE Dr. Schrodi. I found Dr. Schrodi about 5 years ago when this other dentist poked my 12 year old and irritated her gums and he was not empathic for what he did. So as a mother i took my daughter from that office, My baby was terrified of a dentist office until she met Dr. Schrodi. When i took her to Dr. Schrodi she took the time with my daughter and explained the tools to her. So she wouldn't be scared anymore. My 12 year had to get braces ONLY phrase one, she saved me ton of money. My 5 year old has been seeing Dr. Schrodi since she was 1 years old. And she absolutely LOVES Dr. Schrodi. She actually loves going to the dentist she looks forward to the flavor fluoride. They allow you go to back with you child. The whole staff is so nice and caring, its hardly ever a weight time. They have a toy room for the kids, we go a lil early to the appointments b/c my 5 year old likes to play. VERY friendly office. HIGHLY recommends this office!!!! If I could give 100 stars i would!!!!

I was referred to Dr. Schrodi by my daughter's Pediatrician when she was 2 years old. She is now 6 and my son, now 3, started seeing her when he was 1. Neither of my kids are scared to go to the dentist and I attribute that to the fact that Dr. Schrodi and her team are excellent when it comes to caring for children. It takes special people to be able to work with children, especially when it comes to dental procedures. I'm sure Dr. Schrodi has experienced her fair share of finger biting (my son was one of those finger biters a year ago). Dr. Schrodi always explains everything she is doing to my children in kid friendly, age appropriate terms and she always gives me tips and tricks on how to care for my children's teeth. I highly recommend TLC for Smiles for you children. You will not be disappointed.

I was recommonded by a family friend and I am so thankful that they showed us TLC for Smiles. I am not very fond of dentists, its a fear that I have so you cannot imagine the fear I had of getting braces. After meeting the doctor and having her explain the process it sounded a lot better in my mind. Overall I know that this is by far one of the best dental offices I have been to in Southern California. The staff is all around friend and easy to communicate with. Dr. Schrodi is an excellent dentist and orthodontist. She is very professional, caring, and knowledgable. My daughter loves going to her office. She was able to keep our daughter from having to have teeth removed for her braces. Another orthodontist said our daughter would need teeth removed. This was the orthodontist we had used for our son's teeth. Our daughter's teeth are moving into place very quickly and we are all very happy with the results. The prices are reasonable (less than what a friend said she paid.) We could not be happier!

The staff at TLC for Smiles are always friendly and in a happy mood. They welcome you and actually care about you. I actually look forward to coming to the orthodontist! They are just as excited about my teeth looking good as I am! They are gentle; little to no pain is involved in my braces. My teeth look great and they do everything they can to ensure that my smile is the best that it can be. I would recommend TLC to anyone for all your teeth care needs :)

Paid probably 7k in Invisalign. Did not complete my treatment but I did finally get my attachments removed. Though I understand my teeth are not a finished product they declined giving me a retainer. So any progress I did make have I can feel shift every day.
