Sola is a beautiful modern facility that honestly strikes a sweet spot between a hip lounge (for seating) and a dental office. When you walk in it’s very inviting. I fill that if you are African American you are going to go through a lot when you child has medical and was told they need braces bad the dental are not going to send it to medical cause they don’t want to say you child is a t 26 of point when they have problems with eating and over crowded teeth the dentist still want you to pay a high amount down and a high payment I was not even off the payment that is advised on the wall
I’m truly sorry for your experience and that the Medi-Cal process wasn’t explained clearly enough. I know how stressful it feels when your child needs braces, and we never want any family to feel unsupported. Medi-Cal uses a very strict state-set scoring system for orthodontic approvals that all offices must follow.
We wish it covered more children, and we’re here to help you navigate it. With your approval, we can also courtesy-submit your child’s orthodontic models and records to Medi-Cal so you can receive an official decision directly from them.

I had a generally good experience at this dental office. I was seen fairly quickly, which I appreciated, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The office itself looks new and clean, which made me feel comfortable. The waiting room is a bit small, but it wasn’t a big issue for me. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I felt like my specific needs weren’t fully listened to. I had requested a local anesthetic before they administered the main injection, but they didn’t wait long enough for it to take effect, so the injection was still painful. That part was disappointing because I had clearly expressed my concern.

So far I highly recommend the team at Sola dental!! My daughter was skeptical with dentist and kinda afraid of them, yet they made her feel so comfortable and at ease during our visit. My Son has Autism, And this was the 1st time he lets him self get X-rays. Julie was so amazing and understanding with him and me. She was so patient while taking his x-rays and super cheering with him that he even stopped crying and started to smile and we were looking at the “pictures” (x-rays) together. She made it so much fun for my son! The staff welcomed us with a smile at all times. I can’t wait to bring my son back :)

First time visiting this office for our toddlers first dental exam and it was amazing! The staff greet you as soon as you walk in the door and answer any questions you may have. My toddler was scared for their first visit, but they made sure to make him feel at home :-) they display a tv screen above the patients head as entertainment and I think that’s great. I like this dentist it’s cool but as I’m waiting to be seen with my children, I hear Mexican Spanish music along with a Spanish cartoon on the TV as well and that is just too much. I highly recommend this Dental office. My Baby Girl got hit during a softball game. So we needed emergency Services. Without hesitation, they offered a same day visit. We had to wait a while because it was an emergency, but it was so worth it. Their staff is extremely friendly, the office itself is very clean and welcoming. I had a wonderful experience at Sola Kids Dental. I brought in my 2 year old for her first dental checkup and being my first baby I was extremely worried about how she’d do. I was really happy though because everyone there was amazing. They were all so patient and you can tell that they really love what they do. They took their time with my child and didn’t force her to do anything that she didn’t feel comfortable with. Maria who was at the front desk was also really sweet. She took her time answering my questions and I felt a million times more comfortable. Definitely a 10/10 experience. Update: I’ve now been bringing my daughter for continuous check ups and I'm definitely keeping Sola Kids as her permanent dentist. Every visit has been wonderful and the staff is always extremely kind and patient.

We have been coming to this dentist since my daughter turned two but to the original location. When they opened up the MLK location, we decided to come here. The parking situation is much better since it’s in a small shopping center. I then had two more kids and also brought them here. The staff is always kind and accommodating. The doctor always explains the situations. It’s nice to come to a place that recognizes my kids. My kids love coming here for all their amenities. Very clean and modern.

Ive been to Solar Kids a few times now & have had nothing short of an amazing, & comfortable experience ! Very friendly environment, clean establishment, professional, and great with how appointments are set up, as well as their time management. Would greatly recommend getting service/treatment with Marlin, & Dr.Katz. Also if you’re getting root canal you have nothing to worry about Dr.Aron will get you right and take care of you. Will also break down your entire procedure if need be. Side note, this place isn’t just for kids. I know the name would lead you to believe that. But I am 22 and getting serviced here.

Staff is friendly, place is always clean. My kids love coming here. They made my youngest experience so great that he was not scared and we have no issues with his future appointments. I love the atmosphere in this office! I’m always so hesitant on taking my kids to the dentist due to trauma but the is office is amazing! They have so much patience for kids and the staff is amazing. I love this Sola Kids western location. The front desk is attentive making you feel welcomed. I had my cleaning done with Gaby she made sure it was painless and comfortable for me. She throughly explained each step to make me informed. She’s very professional and kind. The dentist Katha is great. Katha did work on my sons teeth. She made sure he was comfortable and felt secure. Today I took my two boys for a check up at this location and it was a great experience. I gor there at 2 pm and was out the door by 2:30pm. Both my boys loved to play in the clean play area while they wait. The dentist assistants are great at their job and are really nice to my kids. Making sure they are comfortable and having a positive time. The service is really great and fast. I love brining my children there.

My kids are patients at Sola Dental and our usual office is at the Main location. We chose to make an appointment at this location on Western, and just as we arrived we were thrilled that parking wasn’t an issue. Even walking in was just amazing with staff greeting us promptly! My daughter was seen right away. As an extra perk we love that the place feels calming and overall cleanliness and aesthetic is great.

My daughter has been coming here since she was 2 years old and has been seeing the same dentist. Very nice and clean atmosphere. Now my daughter is 4 years old and I was just informed that she will no longer see her same dentist. Due to her dentist not seeing kids under 4 which is ridiculous. Very upsetting, because now my daughter has to go through the trauma and get comfortable with a new dentist. When I asked why they told me my daughter is uncooperative. I’ve been to every visit and sat in the room. Aside from a minor cry here and there I think she did great at her appointments. This was just the cherry on top. Went to the other branch and had my own experience. Wasn’t informed of all the details when doing invisalign. Doctor did too much IPR (reduces size of teeth) without informing me. My molar then chipped, went to another office and got a crown done. I will no longer be attending this dental chain.

I came here to accompany my gf for her wisdom teeth extraction and I immediately had to switch to them as my dentist location. I’m terrified of the dentist but they listen well to their patients needs, they make you feel comfortable. I’m talking about a blanket, movie, music you name it. Googled dental care in the LA Area because I needed a quick dental exam for my son entering kinder. Found this gem of a place. The office is cozy, kid friendly, and very modern. Don’t make an appointment here - they will overbook and have you waiting over an hour even with said appointment. I arrived 4 minutes late to my appt and had to wait 6 minutes while the lady at the front desk helped the previous patient - I was then told I would have to wait over an hour as I was waiting 10 minutes late. They will say it with a straight face too, they’re not even embarrassed. They’re short staffed and their service is really lacking. Update to add I walked in at 10:34 am and left at almost 2 pm.

I have been to this office twice. Like others have noted, this office gets busy. I am not typically one for waiting, but some things are worth the wait, and this is one of those instances. I have 2 kids getting services here. One who's Autistic. The entire staff has been extremely friendly, kind, patient, accomodating and compassionate. The pricing is reasonable. I think the fact they stay busy, speaks for the service they must deliver to each individual patient. So, if you can manage to sit and wait your turn, I can confirm that it is totally worth it. I wish we would have switched sooner. Let me add the facility is beautiful and efficiently laid out.

First time coming here and we will never try another children’s dentist! They are sooo good with your kids here, so patient and friendly. The dentist was very kind and made my nervous son feel so comfortable. There is a play area that keeps the kids totally busy and entertained, especially helpful if you have more than one child with you. There’s also a TV above your child while they’re getting their teeth looked at so they can be distracted with their favorite movie. This has been an EXCEPTIONAL first dentist experience for my babies!!

I have to say that this place is amazing from the time I walked in I felt welcomed they assured me I came to the right place and definitely did I tried 3 other offices before I brought my son in and no one compared their services to how they explained everything and assured me if they couldn’t help they would find some one who could the overall experience was great and they relieved my sons pain and he is comfortable thanks to Vivian for being so welcoming and also thank you to dr. I’ve been bringing my daughter to SoLa Kids Dental for almost a year and every time I leave with an amazing experience. From the front desk receptionists to the amazing dentist. Services: So between my 2 daughters we're 4 visits in at sola kids dental and this place has greeted us very well each and every time! I do not usually leave too many reviews which explains how good this dental office is. My daughter's are scardy cats and do not handle pain well and both of them were in shock how good the dentist and assistants took care of them before, during, and after treatments. They actually said they "love the dentist now" so thank you to all the staff here for making them feel this way. All the ladies in the office are very respectful and nice, haven't received one bad attitude and I LOVE that. Thank you, we're here to stay lol. Atmosphere: So the location of the dentist had me a little thrown off at 1st. (we're newer to California) But let me just say this when we stepped into Sola kids Dental ..OMG ? IT IS BEAUTIFUL! ♥️ everything looks new and clean and cozy and "hip" they have the lights , the tv playing movies for the kids in each room at that, they have multiple restrooms, the cutest decor swinging chairs, so spacious the layout is great, not to mention a play area for the little ones while they wait and multiple tablets set up for kiddos to play on as well. 10/10.

Super kid friendly location! They have a soft playpen where my one year old enjoyed being while he waited to be seen. The previous dentist place I had my kids in, contact touching during the visit wasn't allowed BUT NOT at this place. I was able to hold and help the Dentist during the check up. Super clean & kid friendly. Positive attitudes all around. Very welcoming staff and environment. Just need to wear long pants and jacket. It is very cold in there…. My daughter is looking forward to her next visit.

I highly recommend Dr. Laura Banty at Sola Kids Dental. She is a wonderful dentist who is patient, kind, and gentle with children. She has a great way of making kids feel comfortable and relaxed, even when they are scared or nervous. My daughter has been going to Dr. Banty a long time and she has always had a great experience. She has never been scared or anxious at the dentist, and actually looks forward to her appointments. Dr. Banty and her colleagues are very knowledgeable and experienced. She is always up-to-date on the latest dental techniques, and everybody at the office takes the time to explain everything to parents and children in a way that they can understand. Sola Kids Dental offices are clean and modern. It is a great place for kids to visit the dentist. And one more thing, Sola Kids Dental has plentiful and easy parking!
