Visit was horrible!! Hygienist took me to room, hung up my bag, put bib on my neck (all this time saying nothing) then said “im putting chair back a bit, he put it all the way back! I said “that’s not a bit” he said”I don’t want to go home with an aching back”. He poked at my teeth, I said “ I have a bridge on the right” he said “I know what a bridge is” Then he put suction tube in my mouth but the water was running out all over me, he said “ put your lip on it”if I put my lip on it he couldn’t get at my teeth! I had enough, I said I’m done, he had me follow him to the exit door, again no talking or explanation. I said No, I’m going out here told the receptionist it was not a good visit & I wasn’t paying for it. I whispered as patients were in waiting room. She offered a different hygienist but I am afraid to go back & see him there. I never experienced something like this in my life, he has serious issues & is a detriment to your practice. The rest of your staff are professionals & nice

Simply the very best provider in Charlotte county! I had a cap pop off of a tooth that was installed years ago in Orlando. While not debilitating or painful it’s darn uncomfortable and can give you a jolt when exposed to hot or cold. The practice was slammed and the staff was booked SOLID for several days but they squeezed me in between clients and Dr Martin and crew did their pain free magic! The staff were aware of my apprehension after having some very painful dental visits in the past. They listened to my concerns and made sure I was okay each step of the way. Additional medication was offered to contend with anxiety, but I did not need to request it, after seeing that they understood my concerns. Making sure a patient is informed of what will or is happening goes a long way in providing assurance. They provided a treatment plan which allowed me proceed at my comfort level. He also gave me options for another issue that I have never had fixed. They also didn’t push invasilign braces on me like many other dentists seem to only care about.

I had emergency broken tooth #4, i visited another dental office prior to this one and was told i needed an extraction… however i got a second opinion and was able to safe the tooth. I had to travel back to NY so the staff and the doctor were able expedite the Lab work for the crown. Very happy and grateful.. i was able to enjoy the vacation and eat normally. I have been coming here for a couple years for my own dental needs since I moved to Punta Gorda about 6 years ago. I have tried one other local dentist- but don't even care to try any others bc my experiences are always better here. The whole office is honest, competent, friendly and very accommodating. The only negative thing I could even say is it can take a little to get into the schedule because they are good and take good care of you. I just started bringing my 6 y/o son here! He is very sensitive to peoples energy been to 3 other pediatric dentists over the years and my son never clicked with any of them. Today was his first visit and he seems happy and confident with Dr. Martin and Kathy. They both are very patient and informative. I hope to keep bringing my whole family in for dental needs. Have had only a consultation so far and can only report on the staff’s & doctor’s kindness, courtesy, and supposed expertise. Procedure will be done next week. At that time, I will be able to review more in depth. Ok I returned to Dr Martin for a procedure that was going to be iffy in saving my crown. You would have thought he would have just said he couldn’t save the crown in order to make much more money. But he worked very hard in doing the procedure in order to save the crown and he DID, which saved me $2,000. He is exceptional and I highly recommend Dr Martin. His staff is very exceptional, knowledgeable, and kind as well. Thank you Dr Martin and staff!

I am new to Punta Gorda so finding new doctors can be hit or miss. Dr Martin was very friendly. thorough n took the time to explain everything. His staff, especially the dental assistant Cathy, was very pleasant n helpful. The hygienist, Mary was exceptional. She provided the most thorough cleaning I have ever received. I had to return an ultimately have a root canal. What is otherwise an unpleasant procedure was really not so bad, they made me feel very comfortable and even called me the day after to check and see how I was doing. This was definitely a positive experience and I would highly recommend this practice to anyone.

I tried to schedule a new patient appointment with this practice and unfortunately they are trying to pressure people into getting the experimental COVID “vaccine”. If you aren’t vaccinated and travel out of state (I do for work, have a negative COVID test and have never had COVID) they expect you to wait 10 days after each trip to be treated. It is unacceptable for a medical practice to pressure people into taking a vaccine with severe medical implications or refuse treatment.
Kory, it was my understanding that you traveled outside of the United States as well. We do not require our patients to be vaccinated, this is a personal choice, but we do follow CDC guidelines for traveling patients. Not sure where my post went from your txt. Hey, everyone was nice but your quote was 3x the price of another dental office that made my jewel of flipper just three years ago. I was just there for repair. Dr. Ramken seemed unaware of your labs capability and had to call them. Seems like a used car sales ploy. Ninety dollars charged and zero services. Instead of the doc throwing the bill at me you gave to Hannah your hygenist to deliver. Not happy and not pleased. You should refund my 90 dollar vist

My denture cracked across the front. I called Smiles of Punta Gorda because of the good reviews.They said no problem, drop it off next morning and pick it up at 4pm. Wow! I went back at 4 and it was all fixed! I could not even tell where the crack was! Perfect job! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Also they are very Covid safe. I think we found our dentist.

To correct the loss I had of two teeth In the lower part of my mouth, Dr. Martin recommended I have a bridge that basically encompassed six teeth including the missing two. Just relocated to Florida and needed a dentist due to a split tooth below the gum line. A friend recommended Smiles and they got me in in one day, extracted the tooth and made a temp bridge. Staff and Dr rameke was the epitome of efficiency, courtesy, professional ism and as well as sensitive to the patients needs. Explained the procedures, options and costs in detail. The staff and dentist are really nice. They made me feel comfortable, answered my questions and made sure the experience was as pain free as possible. The facility is very clean. Their excellent sanitizing efforts were clearly noticable during my first appointments in January and February 2020. At my June 2020 appt, the sanitizing efforts were even more extreme and they did everything possible to keep the staff and me safe and without worry. I highly recommend Smiles of Punta Gorda!

Location is easy to get to. Real Nice office. Staff is Friendly & Professional. Virus Protocol was adhered to at all times. I completed paper work on line. Within 5 minutes of my appointment time I was in the dentist's chair and had several x rays taken. The assistant asked a few questions while she wiped down all the equipment. Dr Martin arrived shortly, putting me at ease. He asked pertinent questions and more that I did not think of. He doesn't only evaluate but listened to what I had to say to gain more insight of my symptoms. He reviewed the x rays and explained them. He then performed a thorough mouth exam and manual tests. After after all of that, Dr Martin, explained my evaluation with a thorough understanding of the problem. He gave me his recommendations and offered alternative choices of treatment including the pros and cons of each. This has been the EASIEST, MOST THOROUGH DENTAL EVALUATION I have had in sixty years. YES! I highly recommend Dr.Martin and his staff at SMILES of Punta Gorda.

My crown from my implant had come off while traveling to Englewood from Massachusetts. My brother had recommended Smiles of Punta Gorda. I saw Dr. Jeremy Martin. While on vacation from Michigan., I had hoped just my crown had come off. After being seen by the hygienist, I believe her name was Kathy, she informed me that the tooth had broken and they wouldn’t be able to fix it in that short of timeframe.(I was flying home the next day) She was professional, friendly, and honest. She saved me time and money by not doing unnecessary x-rays or procedures that wouldn’t have made a difference. Thank you to all the staff for getting me in quickly. I recommend this office.!

Dr. Jeremy Martin has been my dentist of choice for over 15 years. Besides from being very knowledgeable in his profession, he and his staff are very personable. I recommend him highly. Over the weekend, I accidentally damaged one of my veneers due to negligence on my part. The office was able to schedule me immediately at 8:00 AM on Monday morning to cement the veneer . I was very pleased.

This was my initial visit with the intent to establish with a new dental office. My first impression when I walked into the office: a warm and pleasant environment, not sterile with glaring lights and a harried atmosphere. I was admitted on time, very graciously greeted by my tech Marla who proceeded to review the paperwork, chat a bit about my background and then advise me of all the stages involved with my visit that day. I noted the treatment room, like all the others, was not large but the decor warm, well planned and nicely chosen. It was certainly immaculate and the equipment was sparkling clean. Hands down, this was the most comfortable atmosphere I'd ever experienced in what I would normally describe as a trying experience for me. As for the procedures, Marla did a very efficient job of attaining a full set of x-rays despite my gag reflex issues, explaining every step as she proceeded. When that was completed, Dr. Martin came in. He is a young, very pleasant professional who sat with me face to face, kept good eye contact, and took time to pleasantly discuss my dental history and issues, and subsequently his approach to my care and treatment. He patiently and kindly answered all of my questions. Without going into great detail regarding the extensive exam which followed, I will say this is the most comprehensive assessment I have ever received from any medical professional. Following this appointment, I was introduced to Sara who preformed my dental cleaning. Again, very efficient yet quite comprehensive. She gave me great info about improved cleaning technology and took the time to answer all my questions. My not-so-young teeth looked quite pearly when she was done. All of the personnel in this office were very nice, efficient and quite personable. There seems to be a high level of professional training and individual competency with everyone in this office. Quite impressive. As you may have deduced by now, I am quite pleased and impressed. My only regret is that I didn't make this change years ago! I will go forward with the procedures that were recommended to me and have already scheduled a new patient appointment for my husband.

Dr. Miller is so precise and tells you everything in detail. He is very gentle and makes sure you are okay throughout the entire procedure. By far the best dentist I have been to in a very long time and the 45 minute drive from Sarasota is worth it. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well. After my visit for my temporary crown, Kathy called me to check-in on me to make sure I was doing okay and said I could call her anytime. No other dentist office takes the time out of their day to do that.

I am visiting here in Punta Gorda from out of state and had recently had a tooth extracted before coming. I began having tremendous pain in that area and it became constant with no relief. I called Smiles of Punta Gorda on a Monday morning and the dental assistant was absolutely amazing. Even though it was a typical busy Monday morning with lots of patients and emergencies, she insisted that they had time for me and replied, " no one should have to be in misery, especially while on vacation"! Everyone from the receptionist to the dentist were caring and professional. They spent extra time with me until we figured out the problem. Their biggest concern was for me to be relieved from pain and to fix things the right way! I'm truly thankful to the whole staff. Thanks again!

Having experienced two previous visits to dentists that left me concerned my experience at Smiles of Punta Gorda and Dr. Martin have won me over to an office that begins with a competent staff of admin, followed by dental hygienist (Mary who I had) and a Dr. who shows concern for your dental health. Mary was very thorough and professional explaining what she was going to do and the reason for it placing me at ease. Dr. Martin has a very relaxed manner and engages you regarding your expectations. No hard sells here like a lot of offices. Just returned from a cleaning at “Smiles.” Jenny was my hygienist. I found her very thorough and informative as she educated me on a few issues concerning my oral health and in an informative relaxed manner placing me at ease. Dr Martin spent several minutes as part of my follow up exam and pointed out a few items I might want to consider in the future to preserve earlier restorations. What I like about him in addition to his competency and professional manner is that he gently explains the issue and offers a remedy without selling you. My earlier experiences with other dentist were quite different. Another cleaning at “ Smile’s” and must say I am very pleased. Damien was my hygienist this time and I was very impressed with his professional demeanor, warm and gentle manners which is so important when one has dental care as for most of us it’s relatively traumatic. All this aside , and not to short change my comments but my purpose was to have my teeth cleaned and what I want is a painless outcome. Damien using the modern high tech ultra sonic scaler followed by a manual device was perfect. Having experienced uncomfortable cleanings I found Damien to be extraordinary. He’s very nice to converse with also, balanced.

Dr. Martin did a thorough examination of my teeth and then took the time to explain everything in detail and to answer all of my questions. Within about 10 minutes I was called back by the manager & given and appt for this morning (Sunday). They made another temporary partial for me in under and hour and I was on my way. For many years I have visited various dental offices and Dr. J. Martin's office is the most professional and friendly office on my list. Procedures were explained clearly via photos, and, Dr. Martin and Cathy made certain I understood recommended treatments and costs. Costs were even less than I found in other offices and due to the personal care I give my teeth, Dr. Martin even said I could reduce the number of visits per year if I wanted to do so! Unbelievable! I am impressed with the scheduling of appointments and computer follow up. The staff is well prepared and the wait is minimal, Dr. Martin follows a procedure of making it as economical as possible particularly for seniors. His dental work in my estimation is well above the norm and he is on top of the latest procedures and dental materials. However charges are high,but that goes with the medical/dental profession. Damian did a great job as usual and pointed out a few spots that was retaining plaque even after I thoroughly used floss as always and then a new Sonicare I purchased to replace the Sonicare Professional I’ve used for several years and with which I am extremely unpleased. Even though it’s new, I’m planning to replace it ASAP with the Oral B iO in order to thoroughly clean the buccal subgingival areas the Sonicare not only misses completely, but my own experience as a retired Dentist of 44 years indicates it makes the condition worse. Although I’m getting up there in years and my vision is not what it used to be, I should have suspected this since I know it’s often a problem area, especially in older adults. Also the new Sonicare is very poorly made and its power is noticeably inconsistent and weak. It is Damian I have to thank for carefully pointing this out. Kudos, Damian! I’ve always been extremely satisfied with the exceptional care I (and my family) have received from Dr. Martin at Smiles of P.G.
