I haven't had any actual work done yet, but did get x-rays and a prescription for antibiotics based on the x-rays, which indicated a root infection as the cause of my pain. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Dr. Javed was very professional and confident when explaining my condition and a proposed treatment plan. I am so happy that my extreme pain virtually disappeared within 3 days of taking the antibiotics! I am looking forward to having the work done and hopeful the proposed treatment will work to fix my problem.

I was treated with courtesy and with careful explanations of what my treatment plan might be, I was very impressed. ... Yesterday I had a large molar with deep and sturdy roots extracted. And though it was not an easy challenge Dr. Mallory persevered with patience. I have not had any pain, nor swelling. I also was given fine instructions about post extraction activity and medication by a kind and efficient assistant. I intend to move on with next steps of my dental plan and to encourage my husband to do the same.

Had high hopes for family owned and operated practice. Of key note is that this practice billed our insurance for x-rays for one of us that were not actually taken. Therefore we had falsely 'met' our x-ray allowance with no x-rays to transfer to our new dentist. This and other billing instances indicated their bookkeeping was questionable at best. Additionally, We never saw the owners and the hygienists were not as thorough for us or for our kids. In applying sealants to my children they were a bit careless where a couple of my kids had mouth sores after and it took a few days to adjust their bites. They were not as kid/patient focused as we'd hoped.

Great Experience! My entire family is now at the Serene Dental Spa! This is probably the first dental practice we have been to in Charlotte that our mouths aren’t sore for a week after a routine 6 month dental appointment. I have no cavities, good oral hygiene but always dreaded the dental hygienists/routine exam that left my mouth sore and bleeding not wanting to return for another year with other dental practices- not so with Serene Dental- wonderful experience- no sore or bloody gums after a routine cleaning- highly recommend! Ariana is my family’s go to dental hygienist at Serene. All the dentists are fantastic- Wonderful experience!

Great experience at Serene Dental Spa! Between covid and moving, its been...well a long time since I've been to a dentist, but I finally did and I couldn't have chosen a better place. As a new patient they were able to schedule me in within two weeks. Staff was friendly, efficient and thorough. My hygienist was very good at explaining everything she was doing and checked in frequently to make sure I was doing ok. I appreciated that they didn't pressure me into other services or products. The dentist came in, reviewed my results, made recommendations (told me which were more necessary and why) and that was it! Will definitely be back - in fact returning next week!

We have recently switched over to Serene Dental spa for all our dental care. This has been the best dental office experience I have ever had. The front end team is great. (Thank you Megan) The setting truly is spa like from the zen like rooms and music to the buttery soft dental chairs (nap worthy). I had a tooth filled today. Dr Berg and her assistant were a great team. They were efficient, caring and did an excellent job. I experienced minimal to no discomfort and felt they were very attentive to my needs.

I am very happy with my visit today and I believe I will make serene dental spa my regular dentist. I have pain in my wisdom teeth and they got me in as quickly as possible. Everyone is so polite and respectful as well as reassuring about my upcoming wisdom teeth removal. Today was my first visit at Serene Dental Spa. The ladies at the front desk are super delightful. They have great attitudes and one even made me a balloon animal. They are very welcoming from the get go. Also when I was taken to my room everything was clean and organized and very professional. I received my permanent crown today. Megan was very nice checking me in. Brooke was great helping with the crown. Dr. Tran was great putting the crown in. And Shawnda was very nice checking me out. All the staff couldn’t be nicer. A very pleasant place to go. The office is gorgeous. All of the treatment on my tooth went well. Everything was explained and done quickly. I had a horrible experience. If they are supposed to be a more relaxing environment then they failed. I felt the staff was cold and not understanding to my personal medical anxieties. The receptionist was extremely kind to me and showed she really cared about my well-being. Other than her, the staff was cold and mean. Especially the female dentist. I believe they are just looking to make as most money out of their patients and don’t actually care about the well being for their patients. I will not be returning.

My prior experiences with dental care has always been painful as I have a smaller mouth. As soon as you walk in, there's always a smile/greeting from the receptionists. The waiting room and location in general is extremely clean. Dr Tran and his team are always meticulous about their work and never try to sell products. They recommend based on what they observe and give alternative choices that may be more affordable. One thing I felt differentiate at Serene Dental Spa is that they ask me whether I'm in discomfort, whereas others would just normally stick in what does not fit...

I had such a great experience at Serene. I switched from another place due to very aggressive/painful cleanings which left my mouth sore for a few days. Serene was gentle, the staff was incredibly friendly and they were thorough in getting all angles of my X-rays to ensure no issues! I will be back :)

I went to Serene Dental for the first time to receive a consultation on a tooth having an implant and needing a crown. Everyone there was very cheerful, attentive and competent. Dr. Tran was great! I have found my new dentist. I have the next appointment soon. Update: The new crown was made and fits perfectly. Yesterday, (4/8/24), during the 80% eclipse we had here, Dr. Tran extracted an upper molar and installed an implant . No pain, a successful procedure. The people at Serene are simply wonderful. Looking forward to having the tooth (crown) fabricated and installed over the next few months.

Ok so like most people, I had anxiety about going to the dentist, unlike a lot of people, my anxiety and unpleasant experiences have kept me from the dentist for 5ish years. Crazy I know, but the dentists here did not make me feel that way! They made me feel welcomed and totally understood! Every single person I’ve met here has gone out of their way to make me feel personally comfortable. Open communication, all my questions answered and then some, and they made a point to go over my treatment plan with me to make sure it was what I wanted too! I laughed so much while I was here I truly felt among friends (but it was the staff!!). After not going to the dentist in so long I’ve already been here twice since my first visit in late May, with another appt in a couple of weeks. Don’t neglect your teeth, but if life got traumatic and you had to save everyone else before you saved yourself, this is the place to go! TLDR: 12/10 Already recommended to several friends!

We relocated to Charlotte area 2 yrs ago and after multiple dentist finally I feel Dr Tran has my best interest in caring for my dental needs. Great dental practice. Everyone is very friendly, kind and more than accommodating to make you feel comfortable. The practice can do most dental care whereas the previous dentists sent us to specialist for root canals, crown, tooth extraction, etc. Serene Dental can take care of most dental needs and Dr Tran will tell you if it’s something he is not comfortable performing. This saves a lot of time and additional cost for multiple consultations. Dr. Andrew Tran explained everything before each procedure and offers what he thinks is the best option and includes the pt. in the decision making. He has a great bedside manner and creates a relaxing atmosphere. I had a crown and front tooth resurfaced and it was not painful at all. Next, a tooth implant. Thank you Dr Tran and Staff. LM

Deserves 10 Stars I recently relocated from Northern New Jersey to Waxhaw, NC. I was in dire need of a dentist so as fate would have it, I received a flyer in the mail from Serene Dental Spa. I was very impressed with the visuals from the flyer. I researched the reviews and was even more impressed. I called, and got an appointment right away. Upon entering the spa, I was greeted by two very warm and friendly front desk personnel and the lovely Marge. My hygienist, Kelsey, did a very thorough cleaning and was an absolute doll. After my cleaning, Dr. Tran came in to meet with me and we chatted as if we had known each other for years (kindred spirits). I was given a "Welcome" gift bag, that consisted of some very useful dental items. It was the BEST experience I have ever had in a dentist office. Needless to say, before leaving, I scheduled an appointment for my second cleaning six months down the road.

When I made appointment I clearly told them I need an extraction, came in and immediately was told I'm in for a deep cleaning, I said no, I need extraction. After filling in my health form (which I clearly indicated I have a high BP) they took my xrays, then was told they need to check my BP before they can do the extraction, if my reading is high they can't extract my tooth. Wait..why wait after you took my xray? I told them I have a high BP, why not check it first before taking my xray? I guess if they check my BP first and the reading was high, they wont be able to charge me the xrays?? Decided to just leave and asked them to email me copy of the xrays, to this day..I have not received it.

I googled different local dentists and posted for recommendation in my local moms group, and Serene Dental Spa was recommended by another mom. Serene Dental spa was able to make an appointment for me quickly and fit me in to get a temporary crown the same day I called. The front desk staff were very welcoming when I arrived and you even get a shoulder massage (if you want one!) before the dentist comes in to see you. Everyone was very kind, seemed to care about how you were feeling and were very nonjudgmental about everything. They took the time to ask how I was doing and to double check pain levels throughout the process. I would definitely recommend them and scheduled a future cleaning after my crown visit. They are kind, patient, and caring, and are really good about trying to make you comfortable.

Our experiences at Serene dental spa is nothing like others. The office is exceptionally clean and beautiful. It make you feel like you are at a spa instead of a boring dental office. The staffs are super friendly and they also offer you drinks when you first check-in. Dr. Tran and Dr. Javed are very knowledgeable, they always spend extra time to explain and answer all your questions. They are very thorough with their exams and dental services. I absolutely love Dr Tran!! I've never had a dentist that I liked or trusted. Firstly, he could give me a novocaine injection anytime. Never hurts!! Also, he never pushes me to do more than I need. Over time, he's rebuilt my upper teeth. Because they broke, or were infected and needed extraction, or old fillings causing pain. I have beautiful teeth now, because of him. No, it wasn't cheap but so worth it. I'd never trust any other dentist to do what he did. Painlessly. I LOVE this man and what he does! Plus, the atmosphere at his weddington office is so good and fun. It's obvious that he elevates and trains his staff, and that they love and respect him. It's welcoming, light, and fun. When's the last time you said that about your dentist? I dont dread, I LOVE going there.

I had the pleasure of meeting both Mr & Mrs tonight and they are SO nice!! And super funny and personable. I actually can't wait to go back (as weird as that sounds) for my root canal on Thursday because I felt absolutely NOTHING when he gave me the numbing shot tonight just to ease my pain until Thursday. They even were able to bump me up from a new patient appointment because they said they didn't want me in pain. So glad my coworker referred me to this office because I'm going to tell everybody about it too. People never like to go to the dentist but they definitely make it easy and painless.

I hadn't been to a dentist in a while, because I've generally had awful experiences. The front desk staff was very friendly. I was taken aback at the fact that they introduced themselves to me. From the complimentary coffee and refreshments, to the availability of massage and spa services, to the most compassionate, committed, considerate, honest, funny, and family-like staff you’ve always DREAMED of having and knowing in health-care professionals, Serene Dental Spa does it all. That particular week, I remember I had called 4-5 times scheduling and rescheduling appointments due to something I believed was a tooth abscess potentially forming where I had a cavity that had cracked my tooth; I was now at work beginning to feel extremely ill, and knew something was wrong. I called Serene Dental Spa, and they IMMEDIATELY fit me into their schedules for the emergency visit without hesitation, although the next available appointment for my type of procedure wasn’t until WEEKS down the line. Although I have insurance now, when I didn’t, they provided a discount and various payment plans to help me cover the costs. For each of my 4-5 visits I have had with them thus far while living in North Carolina, I have FALLEN ASLEEP during EACH one, as the calm, gentle and peaceful disposition of EACH staff member, coupled with the PERFECT ambient, spa-like instrumentals are TOO SOOTHING to just not take a nap while you’re there. ALL seven of my immediate family members belong to Serene Dental Spa. There’s no other dental practice or staff that we’d rather trust or invest in to!! I had appointments with both Dr. Javed-Tran and Dr. Tran. The experience was amazing...truly like a spa. They have birds feeding outside the window with a garden view, a masseuse, and lovely music. I felt very relaxed throughout my procedures. Used them as second opinion of Waverly Dental (Horrible) after they tried to pull a fast one by recommending 2 crowns, one root canal and 2 other cavities none of which were flagged at Serene. The dentist took the time to show me definitively that I have no cavities nor the need to crown/root canal teeth. Saved me $2K! Followup post my deep cavity fill...went perfectly as the time taken to educate me on options prior to filling was unreal. They saved my tooth and no more sensitivity vs Waverly who clearly was pushing root canal, crowns & deep cleaning that werent needed. If your a new resident I highy recommend!

A year later and the place has grown so much in the little ways. Staffing has increased and the hours open covers accommodatable to workers all working working weird hours of morning or night. The last time visiting, I was impressed by their knowledge in their competence but this time was rather different.
