They did a good job of bringing me in as a new patient. BTW, you don't have to pay for parking (at the parking meter) in front of their bld like I thought. They have a parking lot next to their bld. that offers free parking. They did Xrays and measured my gum depths. And next time I come in, I'll be able to have a cleaning. The Dentist was also helpful when talking about teeth staining and using the waterpik to floss.

This office was great when it was Dr Barron as the primary dentist. Since all of the changes it has steadily gone downhill and I’m now left in pain with no one to be seen by to fix the work that was done here. When dr Barron left on maternity leave I was seen by a new dentist for a filling and was left in so much pain after the filling and had never had issues with this tooth before. Upon returning to have him look at his work another new dentist saw me instead of him which I found odd, and I only later found out after inquiring he was no longer working there. I then came back again due to my ongoing pain and was seen by dr Barron and both former dentists were no longer there. She attempted to work on the filling which was incredibly painful and told me if I’m still experiencing issues a couple of weeks after to give them a call. Unfortunately I am still in pain and was supposed to have my follow up yet again tomorrow morning and got a TEXT, not a call, from the office to let me know dr Barron is no longer here!! And that they have a new dentist for the time being. I called the office to get clarification and they said dr Barron just informed them Friday she’s leaving and when I asked about the new dentist’s experience I was told he graduated in May. There is no way I will be seen by a newly practicing dentist to fix the work of one of their former dentists and the fact that they failed to properly communicate this as well as so many other instances I’ll have to look elsewhere for a new dental clinic.

This place was a 5 on my first few visits. However, it has shown in the absence of the primary dentist while she was out on maternity leave; they struggled. I had surprise costs, randomly considered out of network (with United Health Care) and they have taken over three weeks to respond - although I have contacted them various times with a response that they have “reached out to an office manager or regional manager”. There is something going on in this office that needs fixing and it is definitely not the dentist. She was great. But unfortunately we have to deal with more than just the dental treatment.

BEWARE: On March 28th, 2024, I had an appointment scheduled with Vivian Barron at East Quarter Dental. Upon arrival, I was informed that Mrs. Barron was on maternity leave and another dentist would be handling my procedure. Unfortunately, I wasn't informed of this change at check-in, nor was I notified that the substitute dentist was out of my network. During the 3.5-hour procedure, I experienced excruciating pain and requested to stop midway. I was informed that stopping would leave the tooth exposed, so I reluctantly continued. However, the pain persisted for two weeks following the appointment. Upon my return, the attending dentist recommended a root canal. Feeling unsettled by the lack of confidence in the dentist's demeanor, I left without further treatment. My initial request was for a crown for a non-painful broken tooth. However, during the appointment, all of my dental benefits were exhausted, and I was charged $1315.00 out of pocket. Later, I discovered that I had an infection, for which I was prescribed antibiotics, alleviating the pain. Nevertheless, East Quarter Dental did not complete the permanent crowns or provide any post-operative care. Additionally, I endured 35 days of pain before receiving proper diagnosis and treatment for the infection. East Quarter Dental has now requested an additional $1990.00 on top of the $1315.00 I've already paid.

I really liked Erica, Cynthia and Dr. Picot. I love candor and communication and they delivered with so much clarity and efficiency. I’m so impressed with Dr. Picot- he prepped me and removed a wisdom tooth all within 10 minutes. I’m used to so many hidden fees and scheduling being complicated and this was up front, happened same day and now I’m safely recovering. They set me up well and communicated with my pharmacy quickly when I had to find an alternate medication based on my allergies. My original appointment was scheduled for mid-May but they’ve called me twice with earlier availability and fit me in a month before I’d originally planned. The space is beautiful and peaceful. Truly so impressed.

Honestly, it was a wonderful experience. Everyone was so kind and the environment was very soothing. I have been in Dallas for around 7 years now and wish I had been going to them this whole time. I feel that they were more scientific in their approach to other dentists I have had in the past. They rely on the data in the X-rays and tech instead of the "oh I think that may be a cavity let's drill to make certain" type of approach. I will be going back in 6 months.

Overdue praise of Dr. Barron and her team. TLDR - if you need a dentist, go here. I first discovered Dr. Barron's office while calling around places to try and use my benefits at the end of the year. I couldn't find anywhere, but a different dentist who didn't take insurance recommended her office. I've been a patient ever since. On all of my visits, I have found her staff fantastic, friendly, and easy going. Not only do they take great care of me, but they've also starting seeing my very anxious girlfriend and take outstanding care of her as well. Their attitude and modern office goes a long way and she wishes her last dentists were half as good as Dr. Barron. We no longer live as close as we did previously, but we plan to keep going to her office as we feels its worth it! Thanks for everything you all do!

I am existing patient. I had to pay for services upfront (basic teeth cleaning). Even though I provided my insurance which fully covers the dental cleaning. Then I was given blank receipt that basically just shows money was exchanged. Then I was told it would take several weeks before I would be reimbursed. Now I have to follow up with my insurance company to see if I can be reimbursed directly or follow up with East Quater Dental their 3rd party billing service to make sure I get my money back. Great dentist but terrible billing pratice. I will not be back.

I had the best experience at East Quarter Dental! I recently switched to a new dentist because Monarch Dental in Dallas was horrible. All the staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, and Dr. Barron is the same. I’ve had really cold/rude dental experiences in the past and EQD is the furthest from that. They gave me suggestions on how to improve my dental hygiene as well as options if I was interested in fixing certain things about my smile, but never made me feel forced to do anything. I’ve never felt so cared for at a dentist and would recommend Dr. Barron & EQD to anyone!

I love this place already love it. It’s my first visit and I’m super impressed. It’s in the deep Ellum farmers market area. The aesthetics of this dental office is absolutely amazing. It seems like a spa type of feeling more than a dentist office. Sitting in the chair they have floor to ceiling windows for all clients views into like a garden area. It’s birds and stuff that fly through. It’s sooooo nice. I would love to see more birds they haven’t put a bird feeder there that I saw but it would be a great idea. You really have to see this place. I’ve never been in love with a dentist office but this one is definitely different and the Dr. Barron is so so nice and professional. The entire staff was great and the technology is definitely up to date.

This place rules! They know your name, listen to your concerns and have great technology to ensure your examination is thorough and professional. The office is not your traditional, sad dentist office with fluorescent lighting, and linoleum flooring it’s a beautiful open space facing a courtyard area that feels lush and green. It was my first time going here, they greeted me by name the moment I walked in the door. The office was so clean and comforting. I love the updated office, the dental equipment like the X-Ray machine was new and more comfortable than any other dentist's office I'd been to. The design of the office is aesthetically pleasing and felt less like a typical "Dentist," office. They had music playing and Netflix in front of your chair while they take care of you. Dr. Barron took extra time to really explain to me next steps regarding an implant I have that needs adjusting, including all the possible scenarios, expected costs, and timelines. I really wanted to be able to give a 5 star review. Initially, the front desk receptionist & dental hygienist were so sweet. The office was clean and professional. However, by the end of my visit, I felt like I was being “sold” in every way possible. And I honestly just didn’t trust what I was being told. So, I booked an appointment with my old dentist back in Fort Worth despite the 45 minute drive. And it turns out my gut instinct was correct- I did not need a filling (never have) and the wisdom tooth removal surgery that this dentistry implied I “needed” is still very optional. And I will hold off for now since I don’t have pain. I’m sorry to have to leave this review but I think it’s important for patients to trust their providers and this did not work for me. I also had to say no about 5 different times to booking a future visit. I was also given a bill for the “filling” they said I needed. I told them I wasn’t paying for a service and I didn’t receive it it was fine but…still no trust. Thank you for reading.

All my previous dental experiences felt very generic and disconnected - all the work was done by the hygienist and I was lucky if I even actually saw the actual dentist. At EQD, it’s the complete opposite. Dr. Barron was with me from the minute I hit the chair to the minute I left. She provided a personalized, enjoyable experience. When I walked into the office, the receptionist, Victoria, welcomed me by name. The hygienist was extremely engaged and friendly. Dr. Barron is amazing! I had my first ever fillings with her, and was nervous about pain and discomfort. She made me feel at ease, comfortable, and explained everything she was doing. I also experienced no pain, she was very gentle! Not to mention, the office is beautiful and all the staff are so fun to be around. Can't wait for my next appointment!
