Great experience. I called last week and made an appointment to get a crown placed on my implant. They picked me up when I crossed into Mexico and drove me to the office. The took the computerized impression of my tooth and it will be ready tomorrow. Great service! No need for a bunch of appointments all spread out like they do in the states!

Do not go to this dental office. My girlfriend had an awful experience here that we’re still dealing with. The staff lacked any real compassion and didn’t take her dental anxiety seriously. They claimed to offer sedation, but it was completely ineffective she was in pain the entire time and left shaken by the experience. Worse than that, the work they did was so poorly done that she now has to undergo another dental procedure to fix the damage caused by their negligence. It’s been emotionally and financially exhausting. Please save yourself the trouble this place is not worth the risk.

I do NOT recommend this place! They are greedy! Charged me $180 for a simple tooth extraction that was already loose! Wanted to extract another tooth that wasn't causing any problems. Full cleaning and simple extraction was going to cost me almost $600. Ridiculous! Only did the extraction because I needed it done and I was already there. Also do NOT believe any of the 5 star reviews! They literally have a sign in their office that if you leave them a positive review they will give you a free simple cleaning! I went there because of the great reviews. Now I know the reviews are dishonest because people did it for the free cleaning. And they make you do the review right there in person. I didn't do it because that is just wrong to trick people like that with fake reviews! Never coming here again! I could of gotten a simple tooth extraction for $60 easily in Risas dental in USA. There are so many dental places around Algodones. Ask for a quote at each place and don't settle for one. Look around the area for the best price. There are cheaper dental offices. But don't come to this place. Unless you want to pay around the same price if not more than in the USA.

Great place for dental!! **Update - 5 weeks later** I can't, in good conscience, not say anything here about the 4 veneers I had done. My above comment and initial 5 stars was for the cleaning and cavities I had dealt with, which was great. Regarding the veneers, however, this is a different story. I had the top front 4 teeth down. I have waited over a month because I know this kind of thing can take time, but my intuition all along was that the Dentist was not competent. My teeth were shaved down way too much compared to what I've seen they should be online. They bleed every time I floss (4 front uppers), one tooth is painful to floss. They are all super sensitive to cold. My gums feel mildly inflamed. There was a ton of dental cement left on the back on my teeth - still there. 4 times during the procedure, the veneer was fumbled in my mouth and almost went down my throat. They ran out of cement in the middle of the procedure so I had to wait (in pain) for 30 mins. The entire instalment procedure was **exceptionally** painful - all done with zero freezing. And they don't even look super great (as veneers should). Bottom line, the Dentist was super nice but I feel like he was not very experienced in what he was doing. I do not recommend anyone to get veneers at this place. I am very concerned about my future with my teeth - future irritation or even infection and what this potentially will cost me down the road...btw, I am from BC, Canada - not a quick trip back...

One Star – Terrible Experience, Stay Away I had one of the worst dental experiences of my life at Dental Del Rio. I went in for a tooth extraction, and they did not numb me properly. The pain during the procedure was absolutely excruciating, far beyond what’s normal or acceptable. On top of that, the staff was not very kind or compassionate about what I was going through. After the procedure, I was in extreme pain for an entire week. I kept calling the office, and they repeatedly told me that everything was “okay” and that the pain was normal. Well, I finally saw another dentist today who immediately diagnosed me with a severe infection and dry socket, conditions that should not have been ignored or missed. That dentist strongly advised me not to return to Dental Del Rio and said the extraction was poorly done. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for proper, compassionate dental care.

Everyone spoke great English and everything was so easy to communicate. The dentist was detailed and answered all the questions I had. The staff was friend & helpful, will be coming again. *** UPDATE: they told me I didn’t need a root canal and I ended up having to go to a different dentist in Mexico again a month later and was told I did need one & had the procedure done that same day. I’ll never go to Dental Del Rio again.

The dentists and office workers are very friendly and knowledgeable. They have high tech equipment and it has been a great choice as we only went by reviews to locate a dentist to have our dental work done. I would like to acknowledge Caesar, who works front desk and has great customer service he really helped me by speaking with me one on one about the procedures I was having and made it more comfortable for me because I do have fear of dental work. Great experience A-Z needed a root Canal asap was in so much pain I couldn’t sleep for almost 2 straight nights. My dentist in CO couldn’t see me for almost a week just for a consultation not to mention actual treatment. These guys were able to take me and get my RC done in the same day. Shuttle from the border straight to their door. Office was clean staff was friendly and can speak English. Looking forward to a good nights rest finally. Xochiqetzalli was my Dentist and has been practicing for over 10 years now. Oh and the price would have been 4k in US they got me done for 790USD in the end worth the drive.

I was not impressed. The scheduling was great and the gals made it easy. However, when we got there, we were told we needed SEVEN root canals. Fortunately we do have dental insurance and already were told by our American dentist that we only need 2. The x-rays were terrible and blurry. Even after showing them our nice and clear X-rays, they still insisted on 7 root canals. I feel like they were trying to do more work for the money and not because it was needed. I will NEVER recommend this office to anyone.

Comrades, I faced the need to solve a problem with my teeth and rushed "to the embrasure" trusting Google. I will share my experience, I hope it will be useful to someone. I took a car on Turo, drove from LA to Los Algodones, Mexico. 4 hours drive, left the Toyota in a paid parking lot in the USA ($ 15 per day) I walked about two kilometers to the hotel, which I booked in advance. A consultation at the clinic was booked a week in advance. I arrived early, on Sunday, to get enough sleep and surrender fresh to the "slaughterhouse".) I had a simple blender with me, I highly recommend it. Be sure to buy antibiotics and painkillers in double the amount. They don't frisk you at the border, but the difference in drugs is huge. The only thing is that you will get a positive drug test from Mexican painkillers. Accordingly, you can only use them at home. You need to come prepared, even though this is a minimal operation, but our health is everything. For a couple of weeks I went to the gym without fanaticism, general physical training. (Swimming, exercise machines, treadmill) Vitamins, juices, diet (vegetables, fruits, meat) Everything was great in the city and the clinic. I met people with SD and even Canada, they go boldly. Lots of useful goodies if you are afraid of toothache and operations. They gave me a pill, a sedative, all fears disappeared, I even almost fell asleep in the chair. (free). I advise you to find out more about the pharma from the administrator, about the sleeping pill too, it will come in handy. To the point, I arrived on Monday, they did it on Thursday. The clinic has a 3D X-ray, and also at the workplace. They can look if necessary. I thought there would be an implant, the condition of the teeth was deplorable, but it turned out that I have very good roots and bone. As a result, 2 teeth were removed, 20 zirconium crowns. The bite is wonderful. I generally trust people who constantly do their job. Price of the issue: 50% cheaper than in Cali, minimum. Service and time - very prompt, everything is at hand.

My wife had a broken wisdom tooth extracted at Dental Del Rio and it was a wonderful experience (considering, you know, it was an extraction). Unlike in the US where you schedule a consultation, then a separate appointment for x-rays, and a third appointment for the procedure, everything at Dental Del Rio was completed in a single visit. The doctor was extremely patient with my wife, and thoroughly answered all her questions before the procedure began. He performed the extraction quickly and efficiently, and my wife was pleased with post-op treatment. We didn’t have any of the issues that we had when she had her other wisdom teeth extracted from our dentist in the states. We’ll be back for all our dental needs!

This place really is as good as everybody says it is! They have a great regular dentist, an oral surgeon, and another dentist whose specialty is implants and crowns. The prices are about 15 or 20% of what the equivalent dental work would cost in the United States. The clinic is very clean, the staff is helpful, and they even throw in free teeth cleanings if you have other work done! Highly, highly recommend!

Went in for 2 implants. They wanted to add a wisdom tooth extraction I opted out of and a cleaning that they would give for free if I gave a review. Implants didn't go smoothly as they had to add Novocaine ~10 times. But got the job done.

I just had my first appointment here at Dental Del Rio. I am very happy with the results. I was told by my previous dentist that I have deep periodontal pockets and needed to have a deep periodontal cleaning. It turns out that isn't the case and I only have one deep pocket that needed a deep clean. I will definitely be coming back here for any future dental needs. I'm super happy with the service I received and I highly recommend Dental Del Rio if you have any Dental issues that need attention.

Very great people to work with. They were very accommodating and responsive to all our questions. We were coming from VA so had to make sure everything was set before our arrival. Answered all of our questions and any concerns we had. Great and easy process. My mother in law was getting several bridges put in and had no issues for the 1st part of a 2 part process. We’ll be back after 4 months when gums heal. The location is anot right at the border crossing like most dental clinics in Algodones but definitely not far. Well worth the small distance. They picked us right up after we crossed the border within 5 min. Would recommend to anyone looking to get dental work done for a really affordable price.

I highly recommend Dental Del Rio for Dental care. My husband and I have been putting of our teeth pain and decided to come with our friends back in April 2024. They are all so very nice and kind and professional. The facility is modern and clean....it is a little way from the entrance of the border like 5min but they come and pick you up. We had implant, extraction, bridge, cleaning and cavity fills and everything they have done is great. And the prices are very reasonable. If you have any questions they answer it and they NEVER feel like you have to get unnecessary work done, they tell you what's wrong and you make the decision. Caesar and the front office staff and all the dentists we've encountered are all nice, we have been back 3x and each time we have had good experiences! We live in Surprise AZ so the drive is only 2:40min. It's easy to get here you park in the parking lot and walk over and you call them and they send someone to pick you up. It's so convenient.

I highly recommend this dentist! I had 6 crowns , a root canal and a bridge done all in 2 days. The process was efficient., they made me feel really comfortable and the prices were reasonable. When you first enter the border you will have other people trying to get you to go to another dentist for better prices but don’t fall for it , I did not research and this is by far one of the best dentist there. I’m so happy with my results and will be bringing family and friends back.

Dr. Hiram was amazing! Best dentist I’ve had thus far. Great bedside manners in English & Spanish! He guided and explained every step of way throughout the long list of procedures that I received in only 2 days: 3 crowns, teeth whitening, cavities, bridge removal and placing 1 implant. He used all the latest technology available in CT and 3D scanner, which made it possible to be done in 2 days. Definitely worth the travel from CA to here. They offer pick ups and drop offs to the hotel and border crossing. The city is a small 3-6 blocks and safe enough to travel on your own.

I came to dental del rio for a root canal and a crown and I was very nervous and anxious but I have to say that my experience here was great!. I had small breaks in between which helped me so much. Excellent experience. My first time. Andrea was available to answer my bazillion questions, both by text and phone. She helped me get the hotel and even picked me up to bring me to my appointment, as well as get me to the pharmacy and back to the hotel. All as a courtesy. Dr Harim was very kind, knowledgeable and gentle. He explained every step. Did a great job and I was impressed with how quick, and thorough their equipment imagery is. I had a broken molar with a decades old large mercury filling removed, as well as a 3 year old "temporary" implant cap (that I couldn't afford to finish in Arizona) replaced, and the damaged crown next to it. Pricing was extremely fair and tomorrow I go in to get their temporary removed, and the permanents put in. I'm considering getting a bridge for the missing molar on another trip. Also got a cleaning. Total time for everything...a little over 24 hrs. Price was at least 1/3 of what it would be back home. Pretty cool. Thank you Dental Del Rio. I will make the 3 hour drive from Phoenix and have you handle all my future dental needs.

I am so happy I found Dental del Rio last year. They were highly recommended by a fellow worker. She and her family had been coming for years. I was 70, and still had 2 baby canine teeth. Dr Barragan did the surgery to remove the 2 baby teeth, and the 2 permanent canines that never dropped. He is very skillful. I also had bone implants. Coming back in 6 months for implant posts, but there was not enough density. Came back 4 months later, and still not enough density for the implants. That made me realize Dr Barragan's integrity. He kept checking my scans. He could have placed the implants, crowns and gotten paid, but he didn't. They offered me several options, and I decided to go with 2 bridges, made of zirconia. I couldn't be happier! I now have a beautiful smile. Their work is guaranteed. I had a small bubble a few months later. I came back and it was immediately repaired, no charge. Dr

Honestly the best dental group I have encountered. That includes groups in Santa Barbara, Ventura, Ensenada, and Tecate. We had heard this town had superior dental groups. How I found my way here is random as we were referred to another group and I believe everything for me happens for a reason, and I have a guardian angel that guides me.

Well, come to find out, the work I had done at another dentist in Tecate was totally failing. I am so thankful and grateful that we have found this clinic. This is my favorite dental office in the world. I had a great dentist for 30 years in Los Angeles but they haven’t been doing such good work here the work is better and it is guaranteed. If there is a small problem they will fix it for you whereas my LA dentist said sorry we need another $3500. If you need dental always go to Mexico. The best!

Dental del Rio did an excellent job, I got a deep cavity cleaned out & a 3 tooth zirconia bridge placed on my back left three molars. Throughout the process they ensured I was informed about what was being done, why it was being done, & the credentials of who was doing it. It was swift and smooth with adequate equipment & facilities (no dental chairs a foot apart from one another like certain other offices). Note: will update this review after 3-6 months with confirmation of bridge success, but I feel confident it was placed well.

I usually do not write reviews but I have to recommend the Staff at Dental Del Rio in Los Algodones. This is an excellent team that helped made me decide to schedule a serious mouth makeover of 21 crowns and a partial denture. Great work done. Their experience was obvious as the entire smooth dental process took maybe 4 hours in the chair and spread-out into a casual four day adventure into Baja Norte! Keep in mind that savings in Mexico is a healthy 60%-70% less than US! Typically you can walk-in to most offices and expect your dental work to begin the same day without an appointment! Amazing! Labs, as well as x-rays and scans, are usually very close by.......just across the street. Considering US dental appointments usually require weeks/months advance scheduling, the dentists in Los Algodones are geared to work as soon as you arrive. If you have the time to go and perhaps stay a few days, do it soon.....and you will be smiling even sooner! After reviewing the dental options here in he US, I am glad I found "Molar City". Thanks again Dental Del Rio. So far so good!

I did a good deal of research on the dental firms in Los Algodones, and chose Dental Del Rio because it had so many high ratings. I called for information and received a call-back within 4 hours. I was able to schedule an appointment for 3 implants and a sinus lift with less than 3 weeks notice. The staff was very competent, and the service was comparable to the US at a fraction of what I was quoted in the US. The folks in the waiting room had unanimous high praise for the firm, and I completely agree and have been recommending them at every opportunity.

Dental del Rio changed my life! My teeth were so bad I could take a bite at a sandwich and miss. I wanted zirconia crowns to replace the mess and I had no idea where to even start in Los Algodones because there are so many dentists to choose from. After reading some of the reviews on Google I decided to make a consultation appointment at Dental del Rio and I'm so glad I did. Their representative reached out within 24 hours and scheduled my appointment, sent me directions, contact info, and an emergency number to call. After arriving in Mexico I experienced how awesome this Dental del Rio team was. I felt like they really cared about me, my safety, my pain levels even getting me to my hotel and back.1st day I went for a CT scan and they made some molds of my teeth and prepped them for the crowns. My price quote was so low, I was really amazed. Then I went back, was fitted for my crowns, and the doctor took plenty of time to get everything adjusted perfectly. They even perfected my bites and canines, extracted a broken wisdom tooth and took time to teach me how to care for the crowns. I'm so happy, I look like a totally different person now and the quality is superb. Oh, by the way..the city of Los Algodones is fun. It's small but authentic. All the medical stuff closes up by around 5 and then the city is sleepy but had everything. I originally planned to stay at the hotel on the Native reservation on the USA side but wasn't really happy with it so the Dental del Rio team got me a place in town. It was nice being able to make a mini vacation out of it, I met almost everyone in town and they were all amazing. It's truly a hidden gem that was worth every minute of the 3.5 hour drive from Los Angeles. I'll be telling all my family and friends about this place, can't wait to see them again in a few months for my check up. 5 Stars!

I found out about Dental Del Río via Tik Tok and I am so happy with my results. I was able to be seen immediately and their service was fast and efficient ! The receptionist, Francisco was so helpful he even went out of his way to find my wife and I at the hotel we were staying at so we wouldn’t get lost. Awesome experience overall, definitely recommend!

Always a pleasant experience. Many cleanings, few extractions, implants and crowns all exceptional. If they didnt get it right they did 100% to correct it. Customer service top tier. Also they have bilingual staff so there's never a time noone knows what your saying. Love it here.
