Had been way to long since my last cleaning. The last time I went to the dentist it was 1,500 miles away. Was nervous going into this cleaning. This unfortunately had to be the worst dental experience I’ve ever had. I scheduled an emergency appointment three days in advance. After receiving x-rays from a really kind tech/assistant (which is part of the reason I’m giving this three stars instead of 1) I was seen by a doctor for a grand total of maybe 5 minutes spent predominately standing behind me to address me and tried to talk mainly to the assistant. While I understand doctors time is limited we were discussing removal of an infected tooth along with four wisdom teeth. I was pushed to agree to an orthodontics plan instead of spending time talking about the imminent problem. Mot to say I wouldn’t sign up but the sales push was uncomfortable especially when I had bigger issues at stake. She left hastily and answered little to no questions I had. I was extremely nervous going to this appointment as I was in pain and had not seen a dentist for awhile. Having spent most of the time being told how bad the x-rays were with most emphasis being on trying to get me to immediately sign up for an orthodontic plan and pay that day, being told they weren’t sure the surgeon would even take my situation and having another assistant come in and snicker while whispering (most likely nothing to do with me but just seems unprofessional) it was overall disappointing and uncomfortable bedside manner at best. When checking out I asked the assistant if I needed any prescriptions for the infection she had to go ask the doctor and I got an answer through her. Had I not asked I would not have left with the prescription I should’ve had. However, this prescription was never even sent to the pharmacy and I was met with an overly laidback and unenthused receptionist. There was also very little communication between the doctor and the surgeon as promised. Only the next portion of why I gave three stars instead of one is that the oral surgeon (South Austin Oral surgery) I was referred to was great and appreciated their office greatly who assure me my wisdom teeth while worth taking care of were not unusual and would be manageable and did a fabulous surgery. I suppose this would be fine for routine cleanings and such, If you are looking to feel like you’re being taken care of in an unusual situation I do not recommend going her.

They are NOT upfront about costs & what you will have to pay… they tell you an amount but then hit you later with a big bill. I get it’s the insurance too but this office should know when they check your coverages if you’re within or outside your waiting period. BEWARE.

It was a big chip that I incurred when I fell face down on a tiled floor, and the bonding was more for cosmetic purposes than anything else. Dr Anand, who must be a perfectionist, really took the time necessary to do everything right…and as expected, he did a splendid job! When I look at myself in the mirror, I can’t even tell where the bonding is, and I can’t be happier! Dr Anand and his chair-side assistant are skilled, knowledgeable and professional. Besides his professionalism, he also has a calm demeanor and made me comfortable throughout the whole procedure. He also is informative and let me know every step of the way what was going on. I was informed of what we were doing, the x-rays were extensive but not uncomfortable, and my routine cleaning was very quick. Speaking with Dr. Chandra, I felt I was in good hands and her explanations about my oral health didn't go over my head. She asked me a few questions and actively listened. That's a big deal to me because too many health care providers treat patients like a chore that needs to be completed. Dr. Chandra genuinely cared about my health; she was great. My previous dentist had an amazing staff, but his bedside manner was difficult to work with. Not the case with Belterra Dental. I felt like I mattered even though I was there for just a routine check-up. Thank you!

I’ve always had a tough time with dental visits. It’s always painful anxiety inducing and just generally not a fun time. The team that helped me during my visit and tooth extraction here changed that for me. To start James the guy who took my original call was empathetic and quick to get me help. I had called 3 other places before here and they were all either absurdly priced or incredibly rude. James delivered amazing service quickly and comprehensively even making sure I knew my estimated total before I arrived. Meme the dental assistant was a dream she was sweet and reassuring as I was getting into the chair. Took my vitals and set me up to be as comfortable as possible and even set me up with sunglasses and Netflix! Also very gentle with the suction tube and other tools I could barely tell they were in there. Doctor Anand was kind patient and listened as I explained my fears. He actively addressed them and worked to assure me that it would be a quick procedure. He even went above and beyond with the local numbing agent giving it plenty of time to do it’s thing before getting started. Overall I had a great time considering I was getting a tooth removed. Amazing team and an amazing location. I’ve found my new dentist!

Update 8/29/2024: Another wonderful teeth cleaning. My appointment was handled quickly, efficiently, and with maximum effectiveness. Update 12/2023: Rocky did a phenomenal job on my teeth cleaning. That included, first getting xrays on razzle-dazzle new technology, and more. I had never seen the inside of my mouth in such detail, and had potential areas of concern explored so thoroughly. I can say without a doubt that I highly recommend Belterra Dental. From my initial contact to make my appointment to every momemt after, my experience was positive. The receptionists were friendly and helpful and found the perfect appointment time for me even though my schedule is tight. The office was clean. I've had some bad experiences with dental visits before and my anxiety was high. Sunena and the dental assistant were gentle and patient. Sunena, especially, showed so much compassion while completing all the work I needed. She explained every step, gave me breaks when I needed, and helped me througb moments of panic. April and Rocky wonderful today. Concerns with front desk who ran numbers for the dental plan had me sign on inaccurate figures noting he called me back stating I had maxed out my dental insurance coverage and said he does not usually do that as part of his job. That's very VERY significant to know accurate numbers and I feel that end of the visit was more than shabby.

Had to change dentist for insurance reason. I’ve been to Belterra Dental twice. My first visit was for cleaning. Arianna, who assisted me, did a great job calming my anxiety. She was very patient, caring and understanding…and never lost her cool despite my display of some level of irritability. I had another appointment right after this dental appointment, and was nervous that I might miss it because of all the additional procedures I had to go through being my first visit. But Arianna was calm and never lost patience as she calmly explained why this and that needed to be done. In the end, I ended up getting complimentary X-rays to avoid paying out-of-pocket due to time limitation insurances allow. (I’ve just had X-rays with my former dentist 6 mos prior.) Rocky, my hygienist, is skilled and professional. She was gentle and thorough as she did the dental cleaning procedure. Dr Anand is the best! - very professional and skilled! On my first visit Dr Anand took the time to show me my problem areas on my X-rays, as he explained procedures that would need to be done. This helped me have a better understanding of my dental picture, as well as the why’s and the how’s. My second visit was just a couple days ago, for fillings. Fast forward to my second visit for fillings. Dr Anand is very soft spoken and immediately put me at ease…and calmed my fears. He is very skilled and did a great job. The only discomfort I had was the normal deadening process, which wasn’t as bad as I remember from my past dental work. Can’t recommend him enough!!! His assistant, April, was also nice and friendly as well as kind, caring and understanding. Overall, I had a great experience on my first two visits with Belterra Dental. The whole staff are friendly, courteous and professional. The atmosphere is clean, friendly and calming. I cannot recommend Belterra Dental highly enough.

The staff is great with an easy going bedside manner… The scheduling team is not. Three appointments for two procedures and exams…I dont have time to keep taking off…two weeks two weeks two weeks…yea make sure you are retired or have a lot of free time. I have an extremely tight schedule and when I mentioned this all that was said from the other side of the table was…”so then two weeks from now…does that work…” No it doesn’t didn’t and will not plus all the salesy tactics to make an extra buck off everyone that walks in there Nightguard / invisalign / oh dont forget to cap each back molar $1700 each!! Of which I get constantly reminded… Medical staff great…scheduling and faining to care from scheduling team not good at all…there for the check and thats it!!

I was disappointed with my prior dentist so it was hard to get excited about regular visits. Then Covid came and left and I decided to try someone new. Belterra Dental looked like the right fit - A younger staff growing a business and very accommodating to a grouchy 'Senior' citizen. At first we played catchup with a much needed deep cleaning - enter Rocky - probably the best and most personable dental hygienist I've ever experienced. Then I continued on with several fillings repairing erosion issues that had been developing over the years - enter Dr Chandra - certainly the best dentist I've ever had in terms of skill, results, and personality. Her assistants Arianna and April are top shelf too! Going to the Dentist used to be at the bottom of my "to do" list. While it is not at the top now, it is way up there. The staff is fantastic, the work is thorough and professional, and the prices are totally reasonable in today's market. I'm a fan and highly recommend them.

I just moved to the Austin community and have loved every minute of it! The stress of moving had me clenching my teeth so tight that I actually fractured a tooth! I needed a dentist fast, and thankfully, I might have found my forever dentist, Belterra Dental’s Dr. Anand & Dr. Chandra. I had texted their phone number at 11PM, after my final box was moved into my new home in the Dripping Springs community, go Tigers! I was stunned when I received a message back from James at Belterra Dental, he was able to get me in the office the next day! Dr. Chandra, the owner of the practice, diagnosed my need for a new crown, completed the work same day, and seated a same day crown for me. Getting my crown on the same day was a huge stress reliever to end my dental emergency. Dr. Chandra noticed I had been clenching and grinding quite a bit and recommended adjusting the healthiness of my bite with orthodontic treatment using Invisalign, or just getting a plain old night guard. I went with the night guard option so I can stop clenching my teeth so much and enjoy my new city to the fullest. I don’t know where I’d be without Belterra Dental, and I’ve only been there once! It was truly an amazing, spa like experience during a stressful dental emergency. The massage chairs were next level and I truly felt like a VIP patient in what I could call the best dental experience I have ever had!

I went in for a teeth cleaning and yearly x-rays as a new patient. They forced a scan that was apparently irrelevant and 18 x-rays and ran out of time to clean my teeth. I am not new to dental visits just to their office, but they argued with me as if my concerns don’t matter. Now I need to find someone else to do the job.

A recent visit left me in “double” the pain than when I arrived. I have NEVER heard of a dentist, looking directly at the X-rays, seeing an OBVIOUSLY inflamed root & them choosing to use a metal tool to tap on a porcelain veneer!!! WHAT AN EXCRUCIATING MOMENT, one that left me in the ER later that day. Turns our, I did NOT need the $3,200-$3,800 (minimum) root canal, from the Endodontist they referred me to. Inflamed roots can happen for many reasons and many lazy dentist go for the costly “root canal”, instead of taking the time to “care” for a tooth. St. John’s Wart & Colloidal Silver, saved the day. Root canals are VERY UNHEALTHY & RIDICULOUSLY ENRICHING to clinics. I recovered 100%, no thanks to this “tag team” of dentists. I prefer “1” specialist, not an onslaught of teammates. PS…Ironically, my nurse in the ER said his wife had the same concerns and disappointment, during the entire YEAR it took them to properly diagnose her source of pain. GUESS WHAT? “She” actually NEEDED a root canal and was misdiagnosed. Maybe that’s why they chose to go tapping on porcelain with metal?? love the other staff!?

In regard to the tapping of the teeth, that process is done to identify symptomatic teeth, it can be uncomfortable, but it is how we are able to identify teeth that need treatment. While our dentists are adept at many forms of dental treatment, we may have to refer patients that have special dental needs to specialists who can better take care of their teeth with equipment optimized to do so. While we work to make all dental treatment as affordable as possible at our practice, we cannot control the pricing of other offices. The receptionist has a bad attitude. She didn't believe I had insurance even though I showed her my insurance card on my cellphone (can't fake that!) and I have been a patient before...
Hi Luis, we apologize for the experience you had at our office. We normally provide exceptional service and apologize for missing the mark with you. We do want to let you know that we have an office policy of verifying patient insurance information prior to their appointment. By having this policy, we make sure to reach out to patients multiple times prior to their appointment if we do not have insurance information on file(especially if a current patient has insurance that has terminated). If we do not hear back from our patients, we wait until you are in the office to get that insurance information verified. At times, the insurance verification process is painfully long, if we cannot find your information on the insurance companies website, we have to call and wait on hold to receive a fax. Sadly, there is no faster way to do this and we do not want to have to bill our patients the full price of an appointment that can typically be covered by a patients insurance company. Showing us your phone is a great way to let us know you do have insurance, but we need to make sure the insurance company will pay for the services rendered, we do this to avoid our patients having a copay for their appointment. Luis, we apologize for the unfavorable experience you had at our office, we would do anything we can to make it up to you, we worked diligently to verify your insurance once you arrived to your appointment, but it ate up the majority of your appointment time. We do everything we can to make sure patients have the best experience here and that involves reaching out prior to appointments to verify insurance so we can spend the most amount of time focused on your dental care. I have been going to belterra dental for about a year and every experience has been exceptional. I honestly hate the dentist and find the whole experience terrifying, but the team at belterra always takes good care of me. Recently I went in for a cavity filling and was taken care of by Rebecca. She helped me through my fears and made what was going to be a terrible day into a great one. No one has ever worked so hard to make me comfortable. It also helped that there is a tv on the ceiling that helped me relax during the procedure. The dentist recommended me to get a prescription to help me with my anxiety for my next appointment. What can I say? Belterra Dental is the best dental office I have ever been to! Their overall dentistry is amazing, Dr. Brazil was so helpful in removing my wisdom teeth and helping me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. The extraction was simple and quick! I recovered fast! Dr. Anand & Dr. Chandra were so awesome in helping me get started with my Invisalign journey! It has been so fun and simple, I come into the office and get checked in with the rockstar dental assistant, Mechalonte, with some help from Melisa and the front office team. I hadn't been to the dentist in over 3 years when I first came to Belterra Dental! The first thing I noticed was their beautiful Instagram page that showcased how nice of a team they are! I felt very comfortable knowing that they had such a modern office and chill vibe - while still being very professional. Melisa up front was so nice and hilarious at check in and explains things so well! My hygienist was super helpful in explaining cleaning habits and more, just made sure I knew everything going on the whole time. The assistant, Meme was so nice and fun to be around, it felt like I was hanging out with a friend who knows a lot about dentistry! Definitely check them out and go there! Update - finally, 9 months later our refund was issued. I am changing my review from a 1-star to a 3-star because James (marketing director) was very kind and helped us get our refund…never-mind, my 72 conversations with Melissa ? My husband, son, and I all had cleanings and my husband and son had follow-on appointments in June 2021. The receptionist overcharged us by almost $300 and then filed the claims incorrectly with both our medical and dental insurance. After several attempts to resolve the issue, 7+ months later, we still have not been reimbursed. The receptionist stated the Doctor is aware of the issue, and she does a monthly audit to try and resolve the issue, but still nothing. If the roles were reversed and I owed them $300 they would have already sent me to collections, but because there is nothing I can do except call them every few days they don't care. NEVER go to Bel-ROB YOU Dental!

Wow these reviews were not wrong. Everyone at this practice is incredibly pleasant. I recently moved to the area and started having some tooth pain. Belterra Dental agreed to see me quickly and the registration process was very smooth. The office is beautiful and the whole visit was wonderful. The technician who took my x-rays was SO incredibly nice. The handoff from her to the doctor was super professional and communicative. The doctor was kind and gave me the help I needed. I'm happy to have found them and will use Belterra Dental as my primary dentist office moving forward. I absolutely loved my previous dentist and was so sad to leave, but now that I've been to Belterra Dental I feel like I'm going like them just as much. Trust these reviews. You'll love it here!

Belterra Dental has been my dentist for over four years. I chose BD as my primary dentist when I was living in Austin, however I'm now living in The Woodlands (nearly a 3-hour drive away.) My experience has always been great at BD. The facility is very state of the art and the staff there are so very nice. Hands down, this is the best dental team I have ever had. So here I am, a couple years overdue for a check-up & teeth cleaning. And not in a bad way, but I can say I get a little anxiety going to the dentist. But I knew it had to be done. Well, my anxieties started to dissipate while making an appointment. Brenda was kind, supportive, funny, & informative. I was able to complete all my new patient paperwork, on my own time, prior to coming in. Which was great! Any lingering anxieties were taken away upon my arrival. EVERYONE was so wonderful. The staff were all just a welcomed comfort. They all made sure I understood what was happening every step of the way. Check-up and cleaning went great! And surprise, we found some cavities! But not only did they explain the situation, but showed me the areas we needed to fix. We were able to take care of everything the same day! Dr. Mortensen was skilled, thorough, informative, & comforting. Really everything you look for in a dentist. And y’all! They give you the run of Netflix during your entire visit! Sitting up, or laying down! BONUS!!! Y’all brush and floss your teeth daily, but when you need ‘em cleaned or anything else... DO NOT HESITATE to contact Belterra Dental. I had 2 wisdom teeth removed yesterday at Belterra Dental. I was very impressed. I did not feel a thing!! Dr. Anand and his assistant Andrea made it their top priority to make sure I was comfortable the entire time. Always checking up on me to see how I was doing and feeling during the numbing process. I'm not going to lie, I was bit anxious because I did not know how painful it was going to be. From having the Doc inject the Anesthetic to removing my molars, I absolutely felt no pain at all during the procedure. Not even when the tooth was pulled out. Dr. Anand explained everything he was doing step by step as he went on. I was conscience the entire procedure (just numbed of course) If it wasn't for him notifying me that the tooth was out I would have never known. Thanks Belterra Dental for making me feel like a champ.

I went to Dr. Chandra at Belterra dental when I was experiencing severe tooth pain. It is notable that identify myself as the following: a fussy scared patient who has not been maintaining good oral hygene regularly so my teeth were pretty bad. From that moment the staff and Dr. Chandra went above and beyond to ensure my comfort a lack of pain and a sense that I could accomplish all of my goals with my teeth. They are a group of very caring and very kind professionals and I would wholeheartedly recommend them for any dental care. My only wish is that Dr. Chandra would do complex Endo so that I wouldn't have to go anywhere else ever. It was just good luck and a godsend that I found her. I should list that I have had the following care: two complex deep fillings; deep cleaning; periodontal care; and two extractions. They always call and ask how I'm doing and check in after each and every procedure. Actually for the first time I'm looking forward to going back in January for routine care and if I need any more care whatsoever I am going to use her. I hope that she has a thriving practice caring for those in the dripping Springs area and beyond. Quite frankly if I had to drive even a great distance I would still come back to her.

It took quite a long time - so have plenty of time for your visit BUT this is mostly because they are very attentive and caring. They take their time with you and for someone who hates going to the dentist it was an excellent service.

This place really is that great, no need to feel all of the 5 star reviews are suspect at all. You can tell they care when they respond back to these posts. I too am giving Belterra Dental 5 stars because they really stand out ahead of my previous dentists. I agree with many of the other reviewers. Dr. Chandra was thorough, professional, and nice. All of the staff that I met was. The building is new, the water refreshment was nice, I was impressed with being able to watch Netflix while getting my cleaning done. There was a TV when sitting up, and a 2nd TV when lying back. I am glad I found a new great dentist! Thanks!

I was very impressed. I am a 48 year old scaredy-cat, but they were all very nice. They knew I couldn’t afford a lot and I need to have my front teeth replaced so I can smile again, and while other dentists that I saw just wanted to make money and only offered the most expensive route, they wanted to save my teeth and made it affordable. For the first time in a very long time I am actually looking forward to going to the dentist thanks to Belterra Dental. I look forward to having a long relationship with them.

Although there was a slight mix up with my appointment, everyone was very helpful and made sure I was seen as soon as possible. Dr. Chandra is incredibly sweet and explained everything that she was doing during my cleaning. Her assistants were also very kind and everyone asked me about my summer and my life and they really tried to get to know me and we had very nice conversations. It made the entire experience feel more personal rather than routine.

I absolutely love this office. I went this week for a cleaning and went previously for Zoom whitening and a cleaning. Dr Chandra is so amazing at what she does and is a very sweet person. She remembered what I do and asked about my summer plans. The personalized service and relaxed atmosphere makes going to the dentist a really nice experience! I also loved the relaxing music and nature show playing. I can’t say enough about Belterra Dental. They are everything and more than you could wish for in a dentist office!

For months, I've waiting for Belterra Dental to open up because it's right down the street from my house. I submitted a request for an appointment online and they called me immediately to set up times for both my husband and I to get our cleanings. When I arrived I was greeted by the most friendly office coordinator and the ease of check in was very speedy. The waiting room was nicely decorated with coffee and cold drinks available. The exam room was nicely lit with floor to ceiling windows. The exam chair was comfortable too. They also had a Roku TV with options to watch movies, listen to music or even look at your teeth x-rays. There was even a TV on the ceiling. The technician who took my x-rays and teeth photos was awesome, thorough and witty! I finally got to meet Dr. Chandra who went over my x-rays, did my exam, offered suggestions and did my cleaning as well. She was ultimately the coolest dentist I've ever met and I'm sold on going back to Belterra Dental from now on. Thanks to the ladies at Belterra Dental for making this new patient feel right at home.

We've had a wonderful experience with Belterra Dental!! What an amazing dental office! The staff is so friendly and professional. Belterra Dental came to my granddaughter's rescue!!! I searched online for a local dentist and Belterra Dental was the first one I found. When I explained my granddaughter's issue to the wonderful Ms. Lori, she told me to bring her in right away. WOW! I was shocked on how quickly they assisted us. They were so kind and gentle with my granddaughter and calmed her fears. They eased her pain until she was able to come back in for 2 extractions!! I can't say enough about the staff! I am telling all my employees and friends to go to Belterra Dental. If you don't have dental insurance, they have a wonderful program and they work with you on a payment plan! Thank you Dr. Chandra, Dr. Anand, Lori and the rest of the staff.!!!

Dr. Chandra is thorough, professional, and nice! She went over each tooth and displayed pictures on a big screen TV (in private room) to discuss areas of concern. It helped to understand what she see's and made it easier to make decisions on how to best maintain my teeth. Side bonus was getting lip balm and watching TV during cleaning! Nice modern office and friendly office staff. So happy to find Dr. Chandra.

I recently took my 94 year old mother to Dr. Chandra for an evaluation and cleaning and could not have been more satisfied. Dr. Chandra took a lot of time with us reviewing the options for mom's dental care given her advanced age. She explained everything very thoroughly and showed us pictures of every tooth that had an issue. I was so pleased with the experience my mother had with her that I transferred from the dentist that I have gone to for over 20 years and am now Dr. Chandra's very satisfied patient myself. The staff is friendly and competent as well!

My experience at Belterra Dental was truly remarkable. Before my appointment even started, I was greeted by the receptionist whom gave me a breakdown of what I could expect from my appointment in terms of cost and procedures. She gave me options of what I may or may not want. The wait was minimal and I was able to choose from a bevy of great drink options. When the dental assistant brought me to the back, she and the doctor started to talk/work on my teeth right away. I enjoyed that I didn’t have to wait around for an extended period of time. I was pleased with the care the dental assistant and doctor had for me. I was extremely comfortable lying back in the chair and watching tv that was directly above me. Overall is was a very good experience. I will definitely be back!

Dr. Chandra and staff were very personable and treated me with care. I had a great experience, and I thought Dr. Chandra was very thorough. Small things like providing dark glasses to block the glare of the overhead lights made a big difference. Also, I was constantly asked how I was feeling and whether I needed anything, which made me feel at ease. Dr. Chandra also explained her procedures very well, and she shared photos and x-rays, which I found helpful. All together, a very nice experience.

Excellent, friendly dentist and staff. Unlike past dentists I've used, Dr. Chandra explained the procedures and tools as they carried out each step. She also showed me photographs of my teeth so that I could see each problem area as we discussed it. She went into detail about how I could improve, even though the condition of many of my teeth were already satisfactory; other dentists would have told me "good enough" and just moved on. The staff also cared for my comfort. They offered a choice of TV programs (broadcast or streaming) both in the waiting area and in the chair and provided glasses to block the glare of the florescent lights. They also performed the cleaning as comfortably as possible, especially during the power brushing, when they suctioned the excess water more effectively than any dentist I've used before. Importantly, I also had a good experience before and after the appointment; I've called several times for various reasons and always get a human right away (again unlike some doctor and dentist offices I've used). And perhaps because they're a new practice, they have lots of availability and minimal wait time, so scheduling appointments was super easy.

I was pleasantly surprised with my visit to see Dr. Chandra as I am new in the city. I am prone to cavities, hence dental hygiene and knowledge has always been a priority. Dr. Chandra did a wonderful job explaining in detail about each tooth I was concerned about. She took the extra time to look thoroughly into each area herself! I've been to many dentists, and I was very pleased with the office and professionalism of the dentist! I am so relieved to have found a dentist in Austin! Definitely will be returning to belterra. The wait was short, which was awesome. They also have a pretty cool coffee bar while you wait. It just overall sweet experience.

Had a great experience at Belterra Dental where I got my cleaning done recently. Was greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff. Also helped myself to some great Keurig coffee while waiting at the reception area. Dr. Chandra was very gentle and did an excellent job at cleaning. I was impressed by the up-to date facility and state of the art dental equipment. With the intra -oral cameras I was able to see what was going on in my teeth, on the TV in front of me. Dr. Chandra was very patient and answered all the questions I had. They also provided with a set of head phones which cancelled all the noise around me and was able to watch my favorite show on the overhead TV. The cleaning went by like a breeze.I would certainly come back to Belterra Dental for my future dental needs.
