I’ve been coming to this clinic in Tijuana for several years and have always felt very safe and well cared for. The doctors are compassionate, the service is excellent, and Dr. Christofer in particular is truly one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because my implant journey turned out to be much longer and more complicated than originally expected. It was a painful process at times, but throughout it all I always felt supported and in good hands. Overall, I’m grateful for the professionalism and kindness I’ve experienced here, and I truly appreciate the dedication of the entire team.

For me the only good part of my experience with American bio dental was being picked up at the San Diego airport and the conversation I had with the driver. Arriving at the dentist I was greeted with the fake smiles dripping with sugar (not real / processed) and overly articulated English though I was speaking Spanish to them. I went to have a consult about a tooth I had seen 2 dentists for in the US that each had different opinions - one said root canal, the other said filling. I had X-rays from both dentists and a ct scan but they couldn’t figure out how to read the ct scan and claimed they needed to take their own X-rays. After taking X-rays they told me my only option was extraction on top of wanting to also pull the tooth next to it - which nothing was wrong with but they pointed to their own X-ray and claimed because it was dark underneath both teeth I would need a bone graft. They ushered me into a separate room with a woman who quoted me $3,500 US whereas the US dentist oddly enough was cheaper. I said no thank you but I would like a cleaning and was informed that everyone left for lunch because they thought I didn’t want anything? So I waited 1.5 hours for a cleaning, during which both the doctor and tech were super abrupt. The tech wasn’t paying attention and poked the back of my throat multiple times with the instrument that sucks the water / saliva making me cough. They rushed through my cleaning in a way I’ve never experienced. Finally coming home to Chiapas I found a lovely dentist at Centro Médico who looked at the X-rays they took and told me they lied to me. She compared my X-rays with other patients and showed how the darkness under that part of the jaw was normal, it appeared on both sides. Long story short I got a root canal with her where she was gentle, patient, kind and knowledgeable for $2,000 MX including X-rays, and a biocompatible crown costing $2,500MX (about $240 US) Sure, this place may be cheaper compared to some places in the US but I’m not sure how as I was coming from dentists in the Bay Area CA, one of the most expensive places in the country. To me it was all illusory with the fake smiles and the actual care and knowledge wasn’t there. Had I listened to them I’d be without 2 of my teeth, one which never even had a problem to begin with. If you want to come to Mexico for more affordable care, consider other parts like Merida or Chiapas that are actually incredibly beautiful and culturally stimulating. TJ and this dental center are no different than capitalistic America.

My sister and I came to American Biodental Center and they completely met our expectations. I found out I had a terrible cavity and was at risk of losing my tooth, but thanks to the most high and Dr. Christopher my tooth was saved!! I will be returning soon for in lay Rather than needing a whole new tooth. After years of coming here, I had an experience that completely shattered my trust. I paid $400 (and waited hours for) a ceramic inlay. I found out later from another dentist that there was no inlay on the tooth in question, or anywhere nearby. This means I will never go back, and I don’t suggest you do either.

This place is awesome. I had a tooth extracted and need implants etc. The first procedure was seamless—from all the people who assist in your planning to the care of the dentist and team. Doing this holistically makes everything better. During the consult and X-rays, they found things my dentist at home missed! I’m very impressed, and I’m a hard to please person! If you have to stay over the hotel attached is perfect. I can’t say enough good things so far!!

Warning ⚠️ They risked my health—and then ironically offered a Vitamin C IV I couldn’t use. I flew to Tijuana on June 6th, got the dental cleaning same day alonf my intitial Chiro package care , I spoke to the dental coordinator whom I have communicated with via email back in May . I went to American BioDental on June 7, 2025, for a “SMART-certified” mercury removal, trusting their claims of following strict safety protocols. But I was not given charcoal tablets as promised, no ozone therapy, and no proper aftercare. It’s unclear if they even consistently follow the protocols they advertise—because in my case, they clearly didn’t. Then, they offered me a free Vitamin C IV “next time”, knowing I had already flown thousands of miles back home. Since the procedure, I’ve suffered flu-like symptoms and severe ear pressure on landing that required emergency medical attention. If you care about your health and safety and want biological, holistic dental care, do not go to this place. Save your money and seek a professional in the U.S.

Hiram at the front desk was amazing with being able to fit her in with no problem we are grateful he made it happen for her; since I thought I had made an appointment for her but apparently I did not. I had a visit with Dr. Bergman and he too gave me excellent care. I highly recommend this clinic to everyone in California.

American Biodental came very highly recommended by a trusted friend to get the dental heavy metal removed prior to detoxing, now I understand why! I started with Daniel in the front office to coordinate my estimate and visit, Daniel did an excellent job of coordinating each of the 4 days I was there getting treatments! The dentists were awesome and very skilled, all staff were very friendly. I had major work including crowns, extractions & partials and felt no pain even after the anesthesia and the local had worn off, the vitamin C, and ozone therapies really paid off. I very highly recommend this holistic dental clinic!

BEWARE: my debit card was compromised here after I ordered food during IV service, fraudulent charges that same day!! I am appalled. Do better ABDental in screening staff and protecting your from this kind of thing!

This was my first time going to Mexico for dental treatment so I was a little nervous about it. These guys put all of that to rest as I felt comfortable immediately. Every single one of their staff was extremely friendly and courteous. I had Dr. Palomino, he was top tier and will definitely be going back to see him again.

Went for a cleaning and X-ray. They are located in the professional center adjacent to the casino. Both the building and the office were very clean and nice - parking was a small fee with a validated parking slip. I did find their quote for dental work to be kind of high for Mexico and I’ll more than likely get it done elsewhere. Besides pricing, overall good experience.

Last week I had extensive dental work done at American Biodental. I came from Florida, I had extractions, fillings and a temporary partial made... I am so amazed at the quality and kindness of service that I received from the dental team. Dr Rene was amazing! We had a consultation, I discussed my concerns, they completed a full 3d comprehensive X-ray, and we went from there. The amount of work that I had done here with a couple a day's would've taken months, if not a year to complete in the United States. After the extractions, I was given two high dose IV of vitamin C.. I chose to have an IV for my iron levels done and also the NAD+ IV...I am amazed at the lack of pain...my jaw was sore.. but other than that, i have had no pain.. just mild, very mild discomfort... The medical team was amazing also. Brandon was very attentive and caring... When I was nervous he reassured me that all would be just fine...Dr Marlan went over my complete blood work in detail, while advising what I should do to help with some of my ailments.. I really feel like I hit the jackpot! Between the staff and the shuttle service to and from the San Diego airport to the hotel.. this was the best experience I have every had dealing with anything dental or medical related! Thank you so much! All of you for helping me to feel my best. I really feel that I was in good hands! And the other patients at the facility were awesome too! EVERY single one that I talked to had amazing experiences with them also! If you are questioning yourself.. question no more..this is the one!

I researched holistic dentistry in TJ carefully. The American Biodental Clinic (ABC) checked off all of the most important boxes for the work i needed to get done, including MANY positive reviews. The first session went very poorly. Quasi traumatic in fact. The dentist was rushed and remarkably careless in her work. 3 days later i had a second dentist from the same clinic ‘correct’ the work the first young woman did. Unfortunately, the second wasn’t much better than the first, as this young man managed to correct only half of the significant problems created by the first, which were primarily bad fit and very rough finish. Had i left the work at this first (and second) round, it is certain that my dental health would have spiralled downhill very quickly (a fact confirmed by the careful notes of a fourth dentist at another clinic…more on that below). After sharing my deepest concerns with the staff at ABC, a third dentist was offered. This guy was by far the best of the three, and did what he could to repair the damage, though he too ended up missing some significant areas of concern. Though the work was not perfect, given the stress of repeated visits and the general trauma to the mouth, the work felt good enough, and my time in Mexico was up. Next stop New Zealand. In NZ i continued to experience persistent problems with the work done at ABC, and ended up getting a consultation with a world renowned holistic dentist in order to review and potentially fix what had (and had not) been done. His review of the work, still very fresh, was … depressing … to say the least. Two crowns needed to be completely redone. One of the crowns, fresh from Mexico, had been placed over an existing cavity that had gone unnoticed/addressed. I have the photo evidence and testimony of two dentists who observed this evidence of malpractice as the process of repair unfolded. Some of the relatively brand new work was already coming undone at the seems. Three onlays had been left terribly unfinished along the gum line, causing ongoing irritation and infection to the gums, which were unable to heal due to the rough edges on the now deformed tooth anatomy and unforgivable gaps in the structure of ABC’s very rudimentary repair. Of course, this 4th dentist in NZ ended up costing me an arm and leg relatively speaking, but in this case, i certainly got what i paid for. The quality and attention to detail was absolutely beyond compare to what was received in TJ. On top of a significant quality gap, the holistic resources and consultation from the NZ dentist was exactly what i had been looking for in the first place, which was not to be found even remotely at the Biodental Clinic, whose style could might be referred to as ‘holistic-lite’. If you’re into diet soda, perhaps thats your thing, but not for me. Though i enjoyed the people i met, and the general environment of the clinic, I will never go back to ABC again, nor would i ever recommend this place to friend or family. If you need work done in a pinch, or are really broke, go for it. It is far better to get some work done than none at all. Tread cautiously if so. Do your homework, and ideally, go into this work with a trusted and level-headed companion who can act as an advocate to your interests in a time of vulnerability and need. Also remember that not all of the dentists at this clinic are as skilled and/or ethical in their approach as the next. if you can afford to do so, and are TRULY serious about your dental health and overall well being, PLEASE consider going elsewhere for your work. While getting this kind of repair and maintenance done stateside or in Canada is egregiously expensive, it may very well be worth the money in the long run to get the work done right, and in fact, as my relatively very recent experience can attest to, it might just be cheaper. Hope this helps.

These guys were so great and very helpful! Dr. Jonathan Palomino answered all of my questions (I had many?) and the staff was beyond helpful and patient with me during it all. They took the time to hand-type me a doctor’s note diagnosing my dysfunction and it’s long term damage if not corrected soon. I will definitely be coming back here for my future dental needs. ? P.s. The dental work I’ve received has changed my life for the better, while costing a fraction of the cost it would have been in California. It all started with meeting the most wonderful dental coordinator, Adi, whose kindness and gracious demeanor put me at ease and made me feel safe, seen and comfortable. She’s wonderful! The doctors and the entire staff have been so kind, helpful and professional, making the hours of surgery and dental work I’ve experienced so much better and easier. I’ve always been very nervous of going to the dentist, but they actually made it a pleasant experience for me. In addition, they have a medical clinic offering everything from IV vitamin treatments to stem cell therapy, all at wonderful prices. I am 63 years old and feel 40 again, thanks to a healthy mouth and the various treatments I’ve received. I recommend American Bio Dental and Holistic Care Center for anyone needing excellent dental care and living your best life!

I came here in December 2023 and had ozone/PRP injections and a composite bonding that had fallen off replaced. the ozone/PRP injections into my jaw cavitations were life-changing for me and greatly improved my immune system, allowing me to get off some of my medications for Lyme disease. Whatever they did was extremely healing to my necrotic jaw areas from wisdom teeth removal and stimulated weeks of a jaw healing process and overall healing for my body. I feel the quality of the work on the ozone/PRP injections was good. At one point I had to ask them to stop injecting in one area because it was giving me TMJ pain. Overall though, the numbing was done well (without epinephrine, which I prefer and which is safer for your teeth) and they really injected me thoroughly and hit all the affected spots. Their needles were able to get deep enough into my jaw to have an impact, and I did not feel pain during the actual infections. I was able to eat about an hour after the procedure and healed well. The injections had a profound effect on me and even within an hour of getting them I started to notice changes in my body, and the next day my immune system was already working better. I never had cavitation surgery, and think I will not have to now, the healing was so profound. The jaw symptoms I had prior to the injections (itching and drainage in the areas when I had hot liquids) are almost completely gone and my jaw seems to be healing more and more each week. I also used PEMF, MCHA, and red light (Joovv) after the ozone/PRP injections for weeks at home to speed up the healing. However, if you are sensitive, I might urge caution before getting any complicated dental work done here (aside from injections or extractions). I feel like the composite bonding I got on my chipped tooth was a lot rougher and bulkier than the last time I had this same work done in the US (it fell off/broke and had to be redone). Maybe this wasn't their fault but just a factor in redoing something for the 2nd or 3rd time, it gets harder as time goes on. But I did worry that maybe I should have had it done in the US. While this clinic can be a great option for procedures that are cost-prohibitive or not available anywhere convenient in the US (like the ozone/PRP for cavitations, I didn't know anywhere else that offers that at a reasonable price) there are some negative reviews about work not lasting or not having been done quite right, and if anything goes wrong, you might find yourself questioning your decision. If I could do it over again, I might get the ozone/PRP at this clinic (or cleaning or anything non-permanent) and then get the actual dental work done somewhere with 99%+ good reviews in the states.

I am a returning dental patient and I have come here from California a number of times this month, and in the past years. Each time I had excellent dental procedures. In the past 2 weeks and last week, with Dr. Fabian Mendoza who made me a new Zirconia Bridge. I love that he is a perfectionist about getting each step done perfectly. I adore how he is a detailed dentist who does every step just right to my satisfaction. American Biodental Center is overseen by a very fair, kind, professional Owner/Manager, Alessandro Porcella, whom I had the pleasure of meeting each time and working with for administrative issues. Worst dental experience of my life. Severely traumatized by the incompetence. The dentist did not paying attention to me or my mouth he was chatting the entire time with his assistant. Twice while trying to numb my mouth he hit a nerve that sent a jolt of fire through me. I believe he may have caused nerve damage. I have never had a dentist have so much difficulty getting my mouth numb. They said I needed a cap on a tooth but did not ever explain why then they totally could not get it to fit right so had to pull it off and replace it and still could not get it to fit right. It now resembles a stub and not a tooth. I was told my bridge needed to be replaced because of the fit that left room for food to get under it. That too went bad and had to be replaced three times before they could get it to sit correct but still had the exact same fit and issue with food getting stuck. And one of the two insets where they removed the amalgam appears to be cracking. I was supposed to go back so they could fix the stubby crown and check the cracked inlay but I just could not go there again. Honestly I am now afraid to go to a dentist, I have serious PTSD from my experience. Beware they will try and upsell you. I was given a long list of things they said I needed. They wanted to pull teeth that had root canals and scrape bones. All I went there for was to remove the amalgam. I had a regular dentist that I went to regularly. They just sort of rushed and pushed the work on you. I am sure there are good dentist there but the one I got was horrific and they push way to many unnecessary services on you.

Holistic Care Clinic-Where do I start with this clinic. I came here with hope after coming out of another disastrous experience in a clinic of TJ- Although “nice” ppl The incompetence started from Day 1. I am a tough stick but every other clinic never allowed me to leave without my treatment this clinic I left about 3-4 times without my treatment or after 7 max pokes. The first time a doctor who sat on her cell phone lied about getting all the blood needed for certain blood tests I caught her in that lie. When you go here you get 0 guidance thankfully my knowledge and background is in holistic medicine or else I would have 0 clue what to do. It’s more like a “holistic boutique” in addition it felt like a party house with immature kids playing doctor while listening to vulgar music at times while there were sick elderly around. The last experience that put me over the edge was a doctor poking me again multiple times puncturing a nerve when the lab technician got me on the first try. I emailed to complain about this in a very respectful manner and there was a very big miscommunication where I was then accused and felt attacked through my personal Instagram and judgement on my personal life. They said they would call but I know exactly who it would have been it’s like you cannot get to any one who is higher. In saying that I do highly respect a few doctors there who finally helped me in getting away from such a incompetent environment. People thinking of going to TJ for complex cases- pls think again. It is mentally exhausting and a very slippery slope. The last clinic was all about foreigner medical exploitation ($$$) and this one was just complete unprofessionalism and incompetence. I showed this clinic so much patience and kindness to just feel completely being shook again.

I am blown away by the intense, skillful, caring, ‘hands on’ neuro chiropractic care that I have been receiving here at the Bergman Family Chiropractic Clinic located at the Holistic Care Center, in the the Grand Hotel, here in lovely Tijuana, Mexico!! I am an 80 year old, semi retired school teacher who has sustained multiple injuries over a rich,, full and meaningful life. My well meaning Boston based Neurosurgeon highly recommended extensive surgery to deal with 7 subluxations, herniated disks, compressed spinal cord, spinal stenosis with multiple bone spurs and more. However, I have been following Dr.Bergman off and on for years and have been intrigued by his multiple reports of regenerating disks, realigning spines, and alleviating symptoms such as pain!! No one else has mentioned that the body is self healing and with a little skillful intervention can actually heal as well as even regenerate cartilage!! After having been rear ended twice in five years, my situation was becoming unbearable. I am amazed at the improvement I am beginning to feel after 4 adjustments a day for a week!! I plan to stay here at the fine Geand Hotel for two more weeks to get as much benefit as I can before returning to the North Shore of Boston where I teach swimming. Extremely professional spectacular work here I highly recommend it. The cost is very affordable . They do not do root canals here because root canals actually shorten your lifespan. It's a great way to get affordable, holistic treatments for a variety of health ailments. On our first visit we flew into San Diego and had the shuttle pick us up from the airport (arrange pickup before you travel). It's about a 25 minute drive to the facility, which is inside of a 5-star hotel (make sure you eat at Emma restaurant). There is also a casino inside as well as beautiful pool and good course! The doctors and staff at holistic care and American biodental are highly attentive and run a whole host of diagnostics to make sure the treatment plans are effective and beneficial for each individual. They also take the time to answer questions and concerns every step of the way. The doctors and staff are very knowledgeable and have helped me understand the mechanisms of my body. Which is so great to get a full body scan Instead of going to 8 + doctors back home and then having to schedule apts to go over test results. At holistic care and American biodental everything is done right here in their facility for instant results and instant treatments. They clearly respect people's time which is so rare! My favorite thing about holistic care is that I was interested in doing stem cells but after seeing my test results they recommended a lesser expensive and lesser intense treatment. They is no amount of money that I would pay to have a doctor that doesn't gauge you and try and upsell you on more expensive treatments that you don't need. They are honest and straightforward and don't push you to do expensive treatments if you don't need them. They also have super affordable packages that include massage and chiropractor, etc but they also do x-rays of everything to make they are making the right adjustments and treatment plans. Everything they recommended for me was backed up by the science of my own personal body and tests. Will def be back and be recommending to others!

This was my first time here but it will not be my last time! I was nervous at first and didn't come with any specific treatment in mind and was confused about all the options but the doctors are so nice and attentive and really helped guide me on the best course of treatment for my illness. In addition they scheduled all of my appointment and even coordinated with the other treatment programs within the building to guide my treatment plan in the best possible direction. Everything I have done at holistic care would have taken several months and 10s of thousands of dollars in the US. At holistic care the create affordable and extremely well rounded packages of complimentary approaches that are financially attainable and time conserving. I received 12 IV infusions and stem cell treatments for my autoimmune disease and I could not be happier. Great staff, great doctors and great treatments. Best of all it is inside a 5 star resort so commuting to and from the doctor's office is easy and efficient! The staff is so friendly and make you feel like family. The doctors are attentive and don't ignore your issues like they do in normals medical facilities. They have such a large array of services and treatments that there really is something for everyone. Could not recommend this place more!

I go here for dental work. They have a convenient shuttle service to pick customers up in the States and take across the border. When you’re done you can use the same shuttle service later in the day to go back to where they originally picked you up, which is a paid parking lot in San Ysidro. The staff is friendly and they always do a great job. Pricing is also great compared to what you’d typically see in the US. I had x-rays taken, a cavity fixed, and a dental cleaning all for $150 USD. I’ll definitely be coming back in the future.

Best place for getting your teeth worked on.

Despite being nervous about the amount of work I had to do, I have had a great time because everyone has been so nice and kind. There was a little bit of a language barrier, but everyone does a really good job of working through it to make sure they understand you as well as they can because they genuinely seem to care about the well-being and experience of everyone who attends; not just myself. The only other possible criticism may be that upon first visit, getting to the section of the hotel where you need to be can be a little bit confusing, but once you get there, it's smooth sailing. All in all, as someone who used the dental, chiropractic, and holistic offerings, I can say it has been a very fun and educational experience to resolve some underlying health concerns with the people at both the American Biodental Center and Holistic Care. I look forward to coming back, if and when needed.

I received a 50,000,000 Stem Cell Infusion, a number of IV infusions, and Chiropractic adjustments. I LOVED the ease of staying in the Grand Hotel and just walking down stairs to get to the office each morning. The staff is so kind and gentle, really this is an incredible healing place.

This place is magical! I have brought my family here for medical, dental and chiropractic. I have never experienced the level of care and alternative medicine expertise that is offered here. I was introduced by Bergman Chiropractic’s Huntington Beach office (which I love!) for holistic dental. One of my sons is on the autism spectrum and adverse to doctor or dental visits. This is the first place that he willingly allowed himself to be treated. The convenience of staying at the Grand Hotel and coming downstairs for treatments is simply the best! I can’t say enough. You simply must experience for yourself.

If I could give 100 stars, I would. I love everything about this place. The people, the energy, the services. If you're worried about language barriers, don't be. I'm pretty fluent in Spanish but rarely speak it here because thier English is way better. Sara at the front desk is amazing too! Dental side: I have had so many traumatic experiences with sadistic dentists, that I ignored my dental health for far too long. I heard about American Biodental a couple years ago and finally, I faced my fear... I'm so glad I did! Dr Rene is THE BEST! He's so gentle, that somehow I felt virtually no pain during both appointments. None. I kid you not, this guy actually had me falling asleep while getting fillings filled! He's that good. Not only that, he is also super efficient. The work is high quality too. No damage or problems whatsoever since. Just solid work. For a quarter of the price, I got higher quality dental work than in the States, y'all. And a lil vacation to Mexico ?? Health side: Did an Ozone IV here as well. It was a smooth, relaxing process. It normally costs over 200 in America, only 100 here. I plan on doing stem cell treatment as well.

You could go here for other things that are not dental related. I went in 2021 and had amalgam filling removed... almost a year later 1 if the 3 I had worked on broke/chipped. Although they agree to fix it (and they did) it was not a good job. And apparently it was something that only another dentist could see... which I just happened to have another dentist look at (without telling them about the fix). I think it was a case of we'll fix it but it will be the fastest cheapest way to fix it. After the drive/long day to Mexico, the cost to time ratio doesn't add up. I would rather battle the 405 and head to the west side. The cost is not much different. I will still have to have my new dentist on the westside fix the tooth. Good luck

Went here after doing some serious research into amalgam dental filling replacement. This was only 1 of 3 dentists I could find in Tijuana that mentioned “Huggins Protocol” - the protocol used when removing mercury fillings safely. This was the most important dental work I needed aside from a couple cavities filled and some gumline work done. Overall I was happy with the service I received. The one thing I think that can be improved is following more closely the Huggins Protocol or adopting practices which help ensure no mercury vapor or fragments enter the patients’ or the dentists’ body. I found the dentist and assistant not wearing respirators during the procedure. Mercury is THE MOST TOXIC substance naturally occurring on the planet. No amount is safe in your body - none! Also the vacuum they use i found to be suspect of perhaps not being adequate enough. I urge American Biodental Center to evaluate their amalgam removal procedure and compare it to the stringent standards some other dentists use. The fact that the dentist nor the assistant wore respirators shows that they could be taking this more seriously.

I had 4 cavitations as well as additional dental work for a small % of what it would cost back in Canada. Most importantly they're big fans of ozone which is what I feel made the difference compared to clinics I've been to that don't. I healed up very quickly as well and didn't even need pain killers after the first day or so, probably the best dental work I've ever had. The IVs and doctor visit were also great, discovered some other issues I have I wasn't aware of through specialized blood work. Overall left feeling much better than when I arrived. On another note I read some of the 1 star reviews before writing this and several were left by people who have never even visited the clinic! Just keep that in mind. Everyone at the clinic who I talked to while I was there had nothing but great things to say and some had come multiple times due to the positive experience there which says a lot. If I need any significant future dental work I'll likely return here. EDIT: So I had to drop the score from a 5 to a 4 due to the fact that one of the parts of the dental surgery involved in closing up an opening from a previous surgery didn't work out. As a result it left a hole that should have been sealed with a stronger material but apparently it had dissolved and the hole remained.

Very bad experience! 2 months ago I went there for a tooth extraction and a bone graft. After 2 weeks of surgery the bone graft got infected. I went to an American dentist for check up. And they said it happened because I wasn’t prescribed antibiotics. Which is insane because it’s absolutely needed for a bone graft surgery!!! So I had another surgery with an American dentist under general anesthesia and a long course of antibiotics to heal the infection. I spent almost 5000$ for everything. And now I need to do a bone graft again and a gum graft etc… Don’t risk your health! Go to a professional American dentists!!!

We have spent most of our time on the medical side. The staff has been phenomenal. Very kind and caring. Treatments are great. They use conventional and alternative methods. So far seem to be working for us and our needs. Like I said some hiccups with communication among staff and us but other than that a very welcoming and pleasant environment. This was my first trip to American Holistic Care. After 4 days of being there I have a few things to share. From start to the end, I felt well taken care of. The driver was very understanding of our flight delay situation and picked us up very late without any complaining. Thank you for translating for me ;) Javier Santillanes (dental coordinator), very professional, throughly explained the process and pricing, very easy to comprehend. He was there throughout the whole process to answer any questions I had - I appreciate that. Dr. Eduardo Martinez and his assistant Adi did an amazing job on my teeth. American Biodental is a beautiful, clean facility. They use the Huggins Protocol to remove mercury fillings, which is rare in the states. All of the dentists speak fluent English. The office is in a 5 Star hotel, so don't be scared, there aren't any chickens running through the lobby! They charge about half of what you would pay in the states, but the techniques are far superior. They use a special cleaning tool that doesn't scratch your teeth the way they do state-side. They subscribe to the idea that each tooth is connected to an organ, which is what the Chinese figured out a long time ago. Western medicine still doesn't follow this idea. They also won't perform root canals, which have been linked to all sorts of cancers. You can also get stem cells, IV drips, live blood cell analysis, and chiropractic. If you don't like a bunch of pharmaceuticals pumped into you, this is the place to be!

I like this place, because it’s a fully holistic approach for dental and other concerns. I asked for a dental service and because it was not holistic they did not do it. I was surprised to see many American patients here. It’s a very professional and super clean place.

I've been going to American Bio Dental for over 15 years. Here's the good and the bad. I had all my work done on my teeth. crowns, implants, amalgams, filings, and all went well-had it all done in 2 weekends. Stayed at the hotel which was nice, not a 5 star, but certainly ok fulfilled the purpose of making my visit easier and not having to return the same day. . Staying at the hotel at least one day is almost a must and worth the stay, if at all, just to make sure there r no problems with your bite after swelling, numbness wares off-and u can check if the bite is right after swelling! Always take someone with you..and that goes for any surgical procedure anywhere. That way, if u need a ride, or are hungry or just feel sick, u have someone there with you & u can easily return. Do not pay for services until they are rendered through insurance or cash period. Make sure you have something that proves how many years the work is guaranteed in writing & what they agree to do if there is a problem. I thankfully had no issues except for one. 1of 3 implants fell off after 8 years. The screw came loose and just fell-so yes, being far can pose a problem. Other than that, the service, the hospitality, the expense was at least a 1/4 of what they had wanted to charge me in Los Angeles AND they agreed on payments. I've referred over 4 people & ALL have been very happy. All had MAJOR work done. My sister who I didn't refer...found them on her own and now swears by them as the best ever! She even called to recommend them to me! THIS IS NOT A FAKE post. I haven't returned due to Covid, but I will be returning soon. Oh, and yes..if they picked u up, they wait until everyone is done to drive u back. The drive is not an easy breezy thing, so they make u wait & it's understandable due to the line delay crossing the boarder. Not so bad for a 1/4 of the price. Just go make yourself busy and have them call u when they're ready. Hope this helps.

The Best Dental office by far ANYWHERE!! The office is beautiful and clean, the staff is very professional and helpful. The best part is that they have been trained by the Dentist Dr. HIggins in the United States that realized the dangers and stopped using Mercury and Amalgum which is so toxic to the body. Most Dentists do not understand the way the body reacts to removing mercury from the teeth and how important it is to do it correctly for healing the body. I have used American Bio Dental now for 2 years and would not go anywhere else!!

This is absolutely the very best experience I have had at a dentist in my whole life of 46 years. Alex, the son of the owner, did my evaluation and treatment plan. He was very professional, very thorough and he took the time to explain everything very well. I could tell right away I was in good hands. I scheduled for the work and was picked up at the border parking lot by Alex, in a very nice, clean white SUV with leather seats. Upon arriving at the very clean, high tech, high rise building, I was warmly greeted by Eduardo, the best dentist ever. I had 3 hours of work done and never any pain. It was the very first time I ever felt really relaxed in a dentist chair. Eduardo was very gentle and did a fantastic job repairing my teeth. I couldn’t be happier with the result, I feel like a new woman with a solid mouth full of beautiful teeth! Thank you Alex and Eduardo for the great service! I was thankful to have a place to go to that was more affordable than the states, however I had to spend another $1000 fixing a tooth that broke two months after I got it filled here. Rather than helping me by refunding the cost of the faulty job, they said there was nothing they could do unless I travelled down there again and used the same materials.

Truly the best dentists and care I have received in my 50 years on this planet. I fly from far away just to go here.

Everyone was very nice and professional. I don't know if it's me, but it's been 7 days since oral surgery and am in intense pain. I was sent home with no pain meds, no antibiotics and ended going to the doctor to get them here in The States. My jaw is extremely sore on my right side and can barely open my mouth. I'm on Miracle Mouthwash, Antibiotics, ibuprofen, Tylenol and my gums are swollen. Eating only liquids. I will to call to complain

I've been going to American Bio Dental since 2009. I have also sent many friends and associates to them. The work they do is above excellent. They take care to remove mercury fillings by utilizing the Huggins Protocol which protects the rest of the body from being exposed to mercury toxicity. They also don't do root canals because having dead tissue in your mouth can cause other types of disease. Most western dentists advocate root canal because it is a big profit builder. What they don't explain is there is no reason to keep dead tissue in your mouth. You are better off having it removed completely or, better yet, practicing good oral hygiene so you don't get to a place where you have to make that choice. ABD also now has on the other side of the office American Holisticare where you can get consults with integrative doctors and different types of IV's et for health. I've had some very good luck by treating this way instead of depleting the body by using drugs. Oh and lastly, they are about 1/5 the price of a US dentist. This is no exaggeration. The standard of care you get is beyond anything I've had in Los Angeles. They do all their own inlays and crowns the same day because they have a in-house lab. And if you are the least bit worried about going south of the border rest assured. Not only will you be chauffeured across the border both ways in complete safety the company is a family business run by people who live in San Diego. Lastly, if you are the still skeptical you can go for a consultation and they will map out everything in advance and tell you exactly what they will do and the cost. Its an amazing find.

I began researching medical and dental tourism, and after a thorough investigation settled on American Biodental in Tijuana. They specialize in holistic dentistry. I was really nervous, I admit, but I have significant symptoms of mercury toxicity so thought maybe I should give this a shot. This place is awesome in terms of their attention and knowledge of holistic dentistry. I had my initial consultation and everything they said pretty much matched what my dentist in AZ said (I was due to replace 2 costly fillings in Az, which sped up my drive to find affordable dentistry) and the cost is what I had hoped without any shenanigans. That was a relief! The dentist, her assistant, the owner, the manager, the nurse--all were amazing and made a great experience. Also, they picked me up from the San Diego airport! They had a shuttle that picked up a group of us. I am feeling really bubbly right now, probably because of the Vitamin C and glutathione drips. And to top it all off, I ran into a guy I knew from LA 20 yrs ago, in the lobby of the dentist! He has been coming to American Biodental for many years. The lobby was filled with people from all over the world, speaking languages I didn't recognize. It is a world-class facility, and the Grand Hotel is grand as well. So, all in all, be brave! Give it a try.

This is a terrific office for those who can't afford exorbitant dental fees in the states. I'm a repeat patient who flew in from NY to TJ to get work done. Almost all of the other patients whom I met were repeat U.S. patients as well who came down from San Diego or LA because they preferred the work done at American Bio Dental than what they received back in the states. The staff and dentists are excellent and professional. One other point is that the dentists are American accredited, so though you have to pay, you can submit your invoice to your Dental Insurance. I received a my claim's check last year and am currently submitting a claim for a recent visit.

I do not believe Claudia was actually a client of theirs from her review.....They do not operate that way at all. There are many dentists in TJ that compete and try to pass themselves off as biodental and have in the past done negative reviews as well as had taxi drivers take them to their clinic instead, etc...which is why they shuttle people now...though I noticed last time there was also a shuttle for someone else who tried to tell us they were with American Bio....How sad as Bio American Dental is the best and foremost biodental dentistry in the world.....The other dentists in TJ are not true biodentistry. #1"Claudia", they would never have not responded to you nor sent you to another surgeon! We asked if they refer last time we were there for something that was NOT biodental and they said, unfortunately they found it was not safe to do that. All their dentists must have degrees in dentistry and then go through their training in bio dentistry. They simply DO NOT do that. By the way, there are investors and other doctors from the USA involved. The father is one owner-investor and his son works there doing the shuttle and PR. At least as of last year. Claudia they are people of integrity over money - hard to find today! I feel sorry for you - not for such an experience, but because you would try to blacken a reputation of integrity. I feel sorry for you because you lack the same caliber.....I do not believe you were ever a client of theirs.

Imagine a young woman going on a date with her dream guy, who was very nice to her on that first date, behaving like a real gentleman. Only to find that after that date he never called or answered her calls. That summarizes my experience with AMERICAN BIODENTAL. I had done research looking for a biological dentist and found them. Called, went there and everything fell into place. But about 3 months later I called in for the second part of the treatment, do implants after having extracting my root canal teeth but they didn’t even answer my calls, no matter what. For some reason I was still trying to finish with them. Eventually I got a hold of their secretary and she informed me that their surgeon had left and I couldn’t finish my treatment. I went back to Mexico to see another dentist and the dad (this is a father and son operation) said that the other dentist I went to see was no good and he would find another one for me. He said the surgeon would go to their facility so they could ‘oversee’ what he was doing. All that wait made me have a lot of bone loss and I would need a sinus lift. More months went by, my problem was getting worse. Finally, they got a surgeon for me. I went back to Mexico, the son took me to the other dentist’s clinic. The surgeon didn’t agree on going to AMERICAN BIODENTAL. They took an assistant but the assistant wasn’t allowed to go in the surgery room which was very large. I was by myself with strangers to do a serious surgery. I had to place 6 implants in zirconia. With my mouth completed numb they covered my entire face to start the surgery. I then had the good sense to ask them to see the implants. The surgeon opened a box and showed me several titanium implants. Where are the zirconia implants? I asked. He looked at me astonished and confused saying they do not work with zirconia. I told them I wasn’t interested in putting metal in my mouth and not to waste my time - I decided to have the sinus lift only. After the surgery the son went to pick me up. Not a word about what happened. When I arrived at the clinic the father was there and not a word or an apology. I went to my room to rest, since I had some serious surgery (the clinic is at the hotel lobby) The day after which was the day I was flying back home I went to the clinic, hoping we would talk about what happened and get some money back but none of them were there. Usually the son drives the patients to the airport. But that day father and son weren’t ‘feeling very well.’ I went back to the states thinking they would at least give back some of the money I paid. Several calls and e-mails later, and that never happened. Now finally after 2 and half years I got my zirconia implants. You might have a good experience going there for the first time but after that nobody knows for sure. They have a lot of patients, an American chiropractor friend of theirs advertises the clinic a lot, promoting cheap dental services in Mexico (that’s how I found them) on cruises and online, making it impossible for the clinic to provide any good service. You don’t have contact with the doctors. Most of them young, a lot of them don’t speak English. And after airplane fares, hotels etc… it’s not that cheap. There’s no such thing as Medical Tourism in Mexico. There’s nothing outside the hotel that you’d wanna see. Only uncertainty. At least I didn’t prepaid the entire treatment otherwise I would have been out of thousands of dollars. Now 3 years later I found out that I could have done the same job with a biological dentist only 200 miles drive from me for the same amount of money. Do yourself a favor, before you go on such trip, please do more research.

I'm a lucky man. I'm in Mexico with Dr. Andrade . People come from all over the world here . They know you receive alternative treatments you cannot receive in America and elsewhere. I have heard only good things about the clinic and people . The doctor injected stem cells in my spine from my hip. This trip I had half my teeth taken out and six root canals removed. I also had four crowns recapped. They accomplished the dental work in 2 days while I was under anesthesia. I received IVs the 5 days I was here with chelation therapy , ozone therapy , minerals and to many others to mention . Like many people know your teeth are so important to your health. Your body is like a giant grid and root canals were shutting down my circuits so to speak. They are the new amalgam .This free's my body up to heal. I'm showing off my new teeth. I get new partials in 4 months.

I had a very good experience there, and am so glad I went. The charges were equivalent to what I pay in the United States with my co-pay. I needed two crowns replaced and they found an amalgam filling under one. It was extra work for them to safely remove that, but they charged nothing extra. They offer high dose vitamin C IV for patients wishing it, when potentially exposed to mercury. The novacaine injections were so much more humanely done than I am used to. I felt spoiled.
