Dr. Patel is very thorough and kind. He listens to the patient and helps set goals that are manageable for the particular person. As a cancer patient, I was relieved to know he is knowlegable about the disease and knew what percautions to take. The staff has great customer service skills and are very welcoming. The initial visit was a 10 day wait but the procedures were able to he done the next day. My kids also do great here and no longer dread the Dentist. They do great work and don't try to sell you a bunch of add ons.

Update-Went in today for an exam, my request. I've had tooth sensitivity on a tooth with a 14 year old filling. Dr Duncan examined and suggested a path that is clear, concise and didn't push unnecessary services. Always a top notch experience. ------------- Dr Duncan, go see her for your work. They were kind enough to bundle my work into one session as my job doesn't have much freedom. Work was gentle, breaks throughout. Overall awesome dental experience. Will be returning of course.

I had a toothache for a few days and finally booked an appointment Nexus Dental, Indian Trail NC. Tara was very helpful to get me in and explained the process. Dr. Harish Patel and his team was very informative and treated my toothache painlessly. Dr. Patel was very thorough in explaining my dental problems and how dietary habits affects the teeth and gums. My previous dentist did not diagnose my issues and things got worse! Dr Patel was very honest he proposed a plan to treat my problems and also help me prevent any further problems. I came to this office because my last dentist dropped my insurance. They made me get new xrays even though I had them at the last office within a year. They told me I had 7 cavities in my first appointment. I have had regular dental check ups and the last was 6 months before with no issues. I didn’t think it felt right so I got a second opinion and contacted my old dentist. Both determined I have no cavities. They were very nice when I was in the office and I felt like I had a good cleaning, but I felt pushed to get fillings which turned out to be unnecessary. I am so happy I listened to my own instinct instead of spending a lot of time and money (not to mention the pain) on unnecessary dental procedures that permanently affect my teeth!

8/13/24- seen for abscesses tooth and gum.as a result of cracking a molar from clasping & grinding teeth subconsciously. . Dental assistant friendle and considerate as she took x-rays. Dr Patel explained findings, outlined plan of action and exhibited care that I understood and was comfortable with the plan. I would not change anything about the care I received. 4/29/24 update- today’s appointment for teeth cleaning went very well. There was a new hygienist; also a new dentist has joined Dr Patel at this practice. The hygienist was friendly, knowledgeable, and informed me each at each step what was going to be done including the full myth set of x-rays. When I declined fluoride treatment there was no push back. She and the dentist answered my questions. Tara at check in and check out is very friendly and prio to my arrival has addressed all insurance approvals There was nothing I’d change about this 5 * visit. They are very pushy and aggressive , last time they wanted to charge my wife $25 for not wearing a mask. Poor communication skills. The most bizarre experience I've had at a dentist. I went in for an initial exam at a new dentist because my insurance had changed. I had requested Dr Patel as he seemed to be an experienced dentist and was authorized by my insurance. Nexus instead swapped in a dentist only licensed in 2020 when I came in, without my consent. After the exam, a tech told me that their hygienist had quit last year and the dentists are doing the cleanings. Well, alright. I complained about the unauthorized switch to a relatively inexperienced dentist and took a photo of the certificates on the wall since I'd never heard of the new dentist. A day before my scheduled cleaning with Patel, Nexus called and canceled my cleaning and did not allow me to reschedule, refusing to give a reason despite my asking multiple times. Guess I avoided further surprise but that was a first!

It was my first time at this office after being afraid of the dentist for years! I was greeted with warm smiles and laughter! I was never made to feel uncomfortable or frowned upon because of my fear and lack of dental maintenance. Despite Covid - I felt comfortable from the time I pulled up and a staff member was waiting for me at the door to be screened to the time I had a very honest financial conversation with the office manager when leaving. HORRIBLE FRONT OFFICE/BILLING. Extremely rude up front. Tara made me feel terrible as a patient and were not only condescending but unprofessional. I would warn patients that when you believe you are paying in full at the time of service, on multiple occasions that is not the case and because I had a less than $50 balance, they treated me differently and all decency went out the window.

Extremely rude staff. Tara and Emmy made me feel terrible as a patient and were not only condescending but unprofessional. I had a $51.00 balance after they entered my insurance information incorrect, in which I paid for the entire balance I was told I owed at the time of the appointment. I recently moved and found a new dentist, so I asked that she remove me as a patient in which she replied, "Oh I already have." The dentist here is terrific, but unfortunately, the front staff can really make or break the entire patient experience.

I originally had a great experience with the dentist. I paid for the complete balance of every visit as the end of my appointments. To be fair, I’m not sure if it was the error of my dental insurance or the office admin here, but they billed be an unexpected $51.00 balance that was not disclosed to me during the time of my appointment. I had no idea about it and didn’t know they made an error. During this time, I had moved and was threatened by the office staff that they would send me to collections. I didn’t receive anything in the mail except for one bill which I called in right away to discuss when I did get it. She accused me of not being aware of the previous bill when I told her, I simply didn’t receive it. I tried to call numerous times to make the payment, left texts, and messages that I have proof of. They were extremely rude and spoke to me down to me in a very different light then when I was in the office as a new patient. Rude staff! I asked her to please remove me as their patient as I just moved in which Tara informed me in a very rude and condescending manner that she already had. If she had removed me for a $51.00 balance that was due, after my appointment when she realized she entered my insurance information incorrectly, shame on them. I will make sure to let all of my friends and family in this area who I recommended the dentist to know how rude and unprofessional the front desk staff are.
